| i took 30mg for a month and along with good diet and lots of excerise i lost 6kg. Then in the following two 1/2 months i lost another 4kg and have maintained this loss for 12 months. Yes, there are side effects, but its only a month. There's side effects to been over weight long term. Just as long as you are aware the drug can heighten your mood, then you can control it. That's what i did, my husband said i had mood swings, but its only a month. And hey, who is not moody when there on a diet?! |

hi want to be thin,
I have been on *** for four months- that is my Gp will give me one months prescription, and then i go off them for one month, then back on etc.
the only side effects i have seen in myself are increased energy, so i usually take my tablet before 7am in the morning so i can still get a good nights sleep.
I have not had any other negative side effects, and i think that anyone who has had a problem with violence etc might have already had underlying issues.
I do recommend using them for a kick start, to increase your motivation or as a way of getting past a plateu.
I have listened to all the negative things people have said about them and i am yet to experience any. although i would recommend taking them on alternate months only so you do not become reliant on them.
When i am on *** , i loose 1kg extra on top of what i would normally lose through diet and exercise alone
I have stopped taking *** now, and am doing it on my own!:P YAY!
Just make sure you see your GP if you experience any heart pulpation feelings etc...
Let us know how you go!!
Good Luck!!! |

Hello
I have taken *** on and off for years and please be very careful as they can be very harmful. Very bad mood swings, violence etc...If you choose to take them try them for one week then if you have become moody stop taking them. Go to the gym or go for a walk around your property forget these very addictive tablets. Your life is worth more then taking a gamble. They are the best to lose weight BUT at a very big cost to your life.... |

| I was on 40mg and it didn't work, I lost no weight I had nausea constantly and I was very very moody, almost manic. At one point I had to bolt out of a lecture and was dry reaching for some time. Having said that I have seen it work for some people, but they are very very skinny now and still have to take it to maintain their weight. All you can do with any of these things is use it as a tool to optimise results from diet and exercise, not as a quick fix. One thing I can't stress enough is that if you do feel yourself becoming emotional, irrational and moody, find another weight loss method as it has the potential to ruin relationships... trust me I know |

| Be VERY careful with this medication. Whilst they certainly took away my appetite, the drug messed with my head, interfering with my usual anti-depressant meds. I was pushed into trying Duromine by my GP who is probably getting "kick-backs" from the pharmaceutical co. who manufactures it. I was told it was a "little expensive" but never expected one month supply to cost $100! |

| The pills didnt make him hit you, that was him. Ive taken them at different times in my life and I never hit my wife. Your husband was crackers, dont blame the pills for the underlining issue. |

mumcatlover, your family fell apart because you couldnt handle your personal life, dont try and blame pills.
They are a great kick starter to weight loss, but only a kick starter. Dont use for any more than a month. |

| Get off it now. It is just a legal form of speed. You will become short tempered, pee heaps, no appetite...which is bad for wieght loss and it will probably stuff up your thyroid.....ps....25 years in pharmacy...seen all those results.... |
