| Hi, im now on my 3rd month and so far lost 13 kilos. People are starting to ask me how ive done it and feel bad that im not telling the truth that im duro. Had to buy new clothes as my old clothes were hanging off me so thats a good feeling. Most times i dont have problems sleeping and only some days i will have a dry mouth and i still drink heaps of water. This is the first time that i have had duro so not sure what happens after the 3rd month. | hi, i'm new here but i've been on duro for the past three months and have lost 15kg, when i was on them i didn't want to eat, i couldn't sleep, my month was dry and i went to the toilet every three days and it was difficult to say the least but over all i felt a sense of acheivement that i stuck it out, the doc wont give me any more prescriptions so now i have to rely on myself, does any one else find it hard or am i all alone, i dont want to be fat again its too depressing. | Hi all. Well im on my second month and i have lost 9 kilos. I have broken my toe so cant put a shoe on so i know the weight loss is going to slow down without doing anything. Went back to the doctor and she has given me something for my anxiety that seems to increase when ever i take something like Duro. Not sure why i stress over it, i should be happy that its working but there must be something sitting in the back of my head. I still feel slightly wierd but only at times other then that its pretty good. I did have a break from it for 3 days and i still had no hunger and was full after a small amount which is good. | Hi Mcnz72, The trial pack contains 7 day tablets, I've got a few cause I work in a medical centre so i'm lucky I get them for fee, I try only to have them during the week and have a break on the weekend cause I like to drink a few glasses of wine & getting close to Xmas all the chrissy partys are on. I've lost 2kg in 2 weeks, trying to get another 3 off, & I'll be happy, hopefully I'll be able to keep it up and not put it back on. I do feel full on them when I eat, but certainly I am eating less & more fruit & vege's, but I am getting a little constipated, I dont know what thats about. Hopefully my stomach will shrink a little and when I do get off them will still feel full after my meals. |

| Well done "Never knew that" but remember its easy to go back to eating lots when you come off them, someone once told me that you gain a few kilos when you get off because now your feeling hungry again as you wont before. Keep to the fruit and veggies and you'll be right. Have you had any problems with constipation on them? I seem to be very constipated while on them, & the whole idea is to get rid of all the stuff in you to feel more comfortable, but I'm not feeling bloated though which is a good thing. |

| Hi, today was my final day of DURO have done the full 3 months have lost about 15kgs, very happy about that! However I am not looking forward to the headaches I know I will get for a few days now. | Thats a good weight loss for just over 2 weeks. Dont forget if you are working out like that then you are probably building up muscle too. You would be best off measuring your body and then you will get the true reading. From what i have read if you eat normal, cereal breakfast, salad lunch and small piece of meat and vegeis for dinner and drink stacks of water helps speed metabolism. Im a stressed out person and i do suffer anxiety too, im not on medication for it but im really not sure if it does have any affect, good or bad, ask your doctor. Im seeing mine tomorrow so i will ask her. Are you on any other medication? | I have been on Duro 30mg for about 15 days. I have only lost 1.6kg and that is with eating only apples & carrots and power walking 2km a day and doing between 300 and 600 ab crunches. Everyone else seems to have a more effective result even without exercise! I dont know if this is because I have Post Trauatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Anxiety/Depression and OCD amongst a few other things or not .. I dont know if stress can effect how this drug works? I feel as though it was a waste of $91.00 Even though it was a small result, it made me feel happy because I have never lost weight before, I only put it on. But its a start. |

| Hey mariela, how have you been going? how many tablets in the trial pack? Maybe after you have finsihed them try reductil. Not sure though if you can go from one to the other, ask your doctor. Reductil works differently, when you eat you feel full a lot quicker. For me it didnt stop the cravings or hunger but i did feel full quicker so i did eat less. With Duro i just want to have a bit of a nibble and thats it. So almost 4 weeks in and i have lost 6 kilos and thats with no excerise as yet. Im starting to feel normal except for the dry mouth, so excerise is on my list to do. | I've been on duro mine for the last 5 days and can say I have no side effects apart from waking to go to the loo in the middle of the night and I'm wide awake but have no trouble going back to sleep. I love the fact that I dont get the hunger pains, and have the need to be looking for food all the time. I have only got a trial pack, but the nurse did tell me that Reductil is much better than Duro. |

| Hi, im new here and have just started duro. i have pcos and i was told that i will need banding but in the mean time i have to lose weight so i tried optifast and was sick after the 7th day of the shacks so my doctor gave me duro. i have tried reductil and i didnt feel any effect at all and on the 5th day i had very bad heart pulptations so my doctor told me to stop. im now on duro for 4 days now and i have a dry mouth and feel a little out of sorts but i have no cravings and have to force my self to eat except today i felt slightly hunry and ate more then i did yesterday but i have already lost 2 kilos but im sure thats fluid. for someone who has battled weight problems for soooo long i am pleased on how this is helping. the fact that i dont want to eat is weird. im happy to have a chat and go through this together, im on the internet every day so lets support each other |

| me neither. there are pros and cons of each and its a personal choice. i dont think 3mths on duro.mine is going to give you heart disease. i would really like to see proof of that statement. duro.mine works for me!! and im happy!! so shhh anti-duro.miners |

| Duro mine has been proven to cause heart disease. STOP TAKING IT! Try Reductil instead.. it works mostly the same but also dosen't let your metabolic rate drop. It has next to no side effects and I have lost 7kgs in 2.5 weeks (keep in mind you still have to work hard on your eating and exercising) There are no miracle pills...believe me! | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Today Fri 10/10 is my last day on month2 of Duro mine , I never get on scales (does my head in to know exactlty what I weigh!) but by my clothing & the way I feel I would say I have probaly lost about 10kgs.... Now the first month didn't really feel a thing, however now the energy levels have kicked in, I sleep from about 11.30pm til about 6.30am, haven't had any bad headaches, no dry mouth, I regularly eat physilium husk on my breakfast cereal (always have had a lazy bowel!), have increased activeness with time... It feels as if my metabolism is getting in line this time, last time I took Duro mine I didn't get it enough of a go, got fed up with waking at 4am & not being able to get back to sleep, this time I am making sure I am tired enough at night to sleep tight, not sure if that is why I am having a better go..... HOWEVER after this coming month (the last one! :(( ) I will have to watch what I eat or else it will come back but WORSE! Some of us have to just live with the fact that food will always control a big part of our life! I have a 6yr old son whom eats like a bird, a almost 3yr old daughter whom ENJOYS her food.... These are the 2 BIG reasons for my NEED to loose weight & get it under control forever! I fear my son doesn't want to be "fat" like Mum & my daughter just saw Mum ENJOYING food & she figured if its good enough for Mum etc... I am 44yrs old and have been beautiful in my time but letting the kgs pile on is all too easy! I am making a silent pact with myself that when I reach 45yrs (next June), I will be proud to have birthday pics taken! |

| hi amygray ive lost about 6 kilos in 3-4 weeks. And that is with NO exercise. NOTHING. i think the bad stuff stems for all the side effects.. no sleep, constipation, dry mouth, kind of out of mind experience... etc although i have/am experiecing these side effects they definetly are not the worst in the world and quite bareable. i have experienced some light headedness and dizzy spells but its not bad enough for me to stop taking duro.mine. im hardly ever hungry and a small meal is quite enough for me now. let me know how you go!!! |

| i just started taking duro.mine, about 3 weeks. and i love it!! the no sleep kind of sucks but its exam time so it has been really good too!!! |

| i took 30mg for a month and along with good diet and lots of excerise i lost 6kg. Then in the following two 1/2 months i lost another 4kg and have maintained this loss for 12 months. Yes, there are side effects, but its only a month. There's side effects to been over weight long term. Just as long as you are aware the drug can heighten your mood, then you can control it. That's what i did, my husband said i had mood swings, but its only a month.
