Please be alert if you want to use xenical. I usedit few years ago and it worked well lossing some weight. However if your diet doesn't include lots of fatty foods you need to be careful. I got very sick and one night woke up dizzy and shaky and vomited very baddly with some blood. I felt that this was caused by the Xenical and I stopped taking it. Since then I developed a continuous pain on my left side of the abdomen that get very bad at times. My doctor ordered a CT scan and then an ultrasound this week. The results is that I had suffered a trombosis in the portal vein and have develop varicose veins in the pancreas. At this moment I am not sure how this could progress or any further side effects.

Re:anyone on Xenical? Reply to this message
I tried Xenical 2 months ago but stopped taking them 3 weeks in. I really didn't see any results & I think the reason for that is because in order for the pill to work you need digest it with fat, however, most of the food i eat is low fat so there was nothing in my system to work with. When i did eat somewhat fatty meals (12-15grms) I'd sometimes get oily stools. There were also times when I didn't even go to toilet for days at a time. I was a lot windier, got stomach cramps at times so those were some of the side effects. Also, so you need to make sure there is always a bathroom around because once you feel the urge to go, the xenical won't wait. It didn't work too well for me so I guess that's a plus as i save $125 each month however if it works for you and with your lifestyle then it's worth it.

Hi,

My name is Silvana and I read what you said about xenical I would like to know if you don't mind how much fat intake you were eating per day...I bought the drugs and I want to start correctly.

It's always nice to hear from people who had success with it. Thank you :)

Silvana

HI I HAVE BEEN ON XENICAL FOR 2 YEARS AND IT WORKED WELL FOR ME LOSING ABOUT 11KG. BUT YOU SHOULD ONLY STAY ON IT FOR 2.5 YEARS SO I DECIDED TO GET A LAP BAND. ON THE OTHER HAND MY SISTER TRIED XENICAL AND NOT ONLY DID IT GET RID OF HER BAD FAT BUT ALSO HER GOOD FAT. WHICH INTURN MADE HER SICK.

Re:anyone on Xenical? Reply to this message
Hello,
I have been on Xenical for appox. 6 months now (End of May to present) and I lost 62 lbs. I do not follow the meal plan suggestions. I eat lots of vegetables, fruits, fish, chicken, and veal. Being borderline Diabetic, I limit the sugar and salt. I also drink lots of Crystal Light and water. Being handicap (severe back injury), I do not exercise at all. As for the side-effects, nothing seemed to have bothered me.
Wishing you all the best.

Re:anyone on Xenical? Reply to this message
I have been taken Xenical for over two months and I registered with their support program "Bodywellness". They provide you tons of information on weight loss along with a 30 diet plan. My biggest challenge was increasing the amount of fat intake in my diet but it is necessary for the drug to work properly. After two months I lost NOTHING on the scale but went down 1/2 a dress size. Of course I exercised more so muscle added some weight. ONE BIG CAUTION! I developed a pain in my lower left abdomen (colon) and I let the pain continue for seven days. I did not know that I was suffering from Diverticulitis. My father had this disease and had to have an emergency bowel resection and wore a colostomy bag for a year before a reconstruction. My point is ANY drug can have adverse effects and you can't always trust your doctor to know everything about the drug. DO YOUR RESEARCH - type in "Adverse Affects of Xenical" or "Xenical Studies". Plus, as always Listen to your Body...it will tell you when something is wrong. Don't let loosing weight, end up in a serious surgery or worse death (because if I had let my problem go on any longer without treatment, Peridonitis would have set in and that can be deadly.
On the positive side, Xenical has helped a number of people that I know, lose weight and get their diabetes under control. ALL the BEST TO YOU. but as always "buyer beware"

Re:anyone on Xenical? Reply to this message
I copped all the side effects, two of em not so nice, inside five days. Big expense for not a lot.

Low fat diets do not work either the really big enemy is carbs get them down and eat the right GI type and get some excercise is key.

Reducing the weight will also reduce risk of high BP and diabetes.

I just found xenical for 70 dollars in europe. I ordered it, it is manufactured by the pharmacist but works very well; just be very carefull to what you eat; keep the fats away.
I found it on meds-online.org

Re:anyone on Xenical? Reply to this message
Hi I was on xenical but I didn't loose weight on it. As it only gets rid of one third of the fat you eat if you eat a low fat diet and fill up on bread and low fat things like this you wont loose the weight. Others I know have lost weight so it still depends on what you eat

my doctor has just given me a script for xenical and I want to know if it works and the side effects. I want to know before I get the script filled as it is expensive.
