| Just reached 13kg! WOOHOO! SW- 86.5kg CW- 73.5kg GW- 68kg Only 5kg to go! Then I might look at losing a little more! I never thought it was possible! Have faith, keep positive. It will happen! |

| Hi wallea00, well you did better than me .4kg. After a weekend of HallowEen rubbish I thought I'd gain but didn't reach my 5kg for the 4 weeks did 4.4kg so near and yet!!!! Will do better! SW 76.5kg PW 72.1kg GW around 60-63kg so need to keep it up, have 2 months supply now and really hope not to need any more. Fingers crossed |

| Hi All, Its weigh in day for me today. I have lost a grand total of 0.5kg this week. How ever I was really naughty last weekend, so I think I was actually lucky to have lost even a little. I also still have my dreaded P and suffering from fluid retention. I am on 15mg and have been on them now for 2 weeks. To be honest I havent noticed a huge difference. In saying that I havent been in the best dieting frame of mind this last 2 weeks. I am still going to keep plodding along. Atleast it is coming off, even if it is very slowly. WEIGHTLOSS TO DATE - EXACTLY 6 KG IN 6 WEEKS I would love to have lost 10kg by Christmas |

| Hi every1 keep going with the reductil they are fantastic they really work.Iv been taking reductil since july and iv lost 3 stone and am now at my target weight .Alright i have side effects.....At first i had a really dry mouth headaches taste disturbance and felt a bit dizzy but i stuck with it and they subsided i still suffer from constipation but laxitives are working. I didnt diet or do shakes as i didnt want to restrict my life or deprive myself too much. I didnt want to be craving any foods that i love like carbs. I have found that these tablets dont allow me too eat too much anyway . I eat what i like but just cut my portions. Iv also noticed that I just dont want to drink alcohol so that is saving me loads of calories. | Hi Shank1, Im from Aus too and similar age to your daughter. What medication did the phsycologist supply? He shouldnt really be prescribing weightloss medication as he should be aware of her mental illness and legally should not be prescribing it to her because it sounds as though her BMI would be of healthy weight range. He has failed his duty of care to your daughter and has failed to provide basic accurate medical advice. I understand exactly what you and your daughter are going through as I see it all the time with girls my age and experience it myself. She needs to talk to another phsycologist, perhaps female as this tends to be an issue common amongst women. Usualy the constant desire for un-needed weightloss stems from a deeper issue as she will never get the self satisfaction she is looking for when losing weight as this is not the issue. Be proud that you are a pro-active mum and have recognised her issues. Alot of parents would put it down to their childs age and not take any further action. I know it sounds daunting but try calling beyond blue. They are a fantastic support group for people affected by mental health issues. Ive called them myself before because I was worried about a friend. They will provide you with so much information and people to contact within your area. Good Luck! |

| Hi I'm from Aust, I accidently came across this message board and I am reading that the people here are trying to lose weight and have been prescribed Reductil. My 20 year old daughter who is not overweight, but is rather thin, has repeatedly asked her physcologist for *** a very expensive prescription that costs $109.00 Australian dollars, she has taken them for approx 15 months, but she has just come to realise they were too expensive and did not really work. She is fanatical about weight loss, she is also on depression tablets and is always complaining of her weight even though she is pretty slim. Sorry about my outpoor, I hope you all lose the weight that you want to achieve. Good luck!!!!!!!I just wanted to express my little grief, she is a handful. |

| I have been on Reductil now for 7 days no side effects feel really great , best thing is I do not feel hungry constantly. I started gaining weight about 15 years ago and it has balloned out of control to 115kgs. have tried all the diets, shakes etc. but the feeling of being hungry killed most of those. I now feel I eat better but much less. I need to get rid of weight as I need a double knee replacement and hope less weight may keep me off the table for a bit longer. | Thanks heaps adamkelly (: I'm feeling thirsty most of the time from these anyway haha. Please let me know if you do feel a difference from the change to 15mg :D I can definitely don't feel hungry from 10mg but was just curious about the difference between the too. Thanks again! |

| Hi Addisonwalton Yea I have been on the 10mg for a month then changed to the 15mg on day 4 of the 15mg havent noticed a lot of difference as yet apart from mad thirst but they take a while to kick in, but I still have to say that to me its 50% tablets and 50% will power on the tablets, good look. |

| Hi A, Thanks for the advice, ill pop into chemist tomorrow i think. My mam suggested stewed rhubarb...but im not that desperate...yet!!! :) yea we literally walked for hours as our hotel was a good bit out of the city but with all the drinking and eating involved im not sure whether it cancelled it out or not!! Might leave it til sat to weigh myself too!!! Im afraid to get up on them!! ill let u know when i do!! | HI Jamie Yes I have horrible headaches as well only after two days of being on the tables the headaches lasted for 5 days but then they went, drink of water as wellI found that helped a bit... good luck on your weight loss.. |

| Hi Larien Did you have a nice time in Amsterdam? did you get any walking in at all :-) Well for the constipation I find if I eat a very hot curry or drink Red bull ( they do a sugar free one) it works for me, sorry not much help but laxatives did not work for me either, go the chemist they might give ya something.... so when are you weighing in? Im afraid to get on the scales might venture on it on sat!!! be good, A |

| Hi wallea00, thanks, I think I'll probably stay the same this week too but your right much harder with the 2 kids & hubbies around. I've dumped the rubbish this morning ALL IN THE BIN and am back ok today. Headaches I was getting last week were from genuine hunger so you have to listen to your body & eat at regular intervals. Apart from "sweetie" weekend , I'm doing ok too. Got 2 months script today. Hope that's all I need. | Hi jamie, i suffered from terrible headaches the first 2 days but they went away then. The prob with me is that i would normally have suffered from headaches before when i was hungry so my body prob was hungry the first few days on the reds and i didnt realise! I sometimes get hot flushes still but apart from that and the dry mouth, i dont seem to have any other side affects and im on them almost 5 weeks now. Have u just started them? | Hi A, Oh i was sooo bold this weekend too!!! Went to Amsterdam for the weekend and altho there was alot of walking involved I went out drinking on the fri night and went for a fabulous creamy italian on sat night so im dreading my weigh in on wed! Also this constipation is driving me around the bend! Have u found anything to help with yours? Sorry to be grafic but i havent gone in a good few days and laxatives arent working!! My stomach feels so hard and ive terrible pains. Def not good!! Anyway it seems a few of us havent been as good as we should have this weekend but hey this is always going to be the way in life, whether we are dieting or not i think!! :) Lets just move forward from it!! |

| hi ive been on reductil since friday..and still not convinced.im only on 10mg.perhaps im eating to less? i heard that this can make a huge difference!..why? i cant beleive some people are losing soo much weight!..im soo upset. so i hope you will get better results than me.as for the 10mg verses the 15mg,i think the later is just stronger.and my gp said that he gives it to people who are a 'bigger'! im just 0n 63kg and cant beleive im this weight!so im really trying to get it kick started,and in time for the warmer weather. god luck keep in touch let us see how we go!.. |

| Hi all Well thank god its a new week and I have to get motivated, iv not been doing any excerise last week and was out drinking twice at the weekend, had a pizza last night, am getting flu and was feeling horrible to i caved, I suppose I have to have a bad week every now and then... So fingers crossed I get back to normal, but have funeral and wake on Thur so that will be more drinking ahhhhhhhhhhh anyway havent put any weight back on and started the 15mg on sat feel the same as on the 10mg... |

| Hi Hillbilly, I too have not had a great week but I am going to try and get back into it tommorrow. I havent gained any weight though. Work is an absolute nightmare at the moment. Between work, two children and my husband I have become a little lazy with what I am eating. I just would love to lose a little more before Christmas. Lilly |
