Hi there, ...
I'm an old guy on that forum and I've dedicated much space of my own blog for (My Reductil). That drug is amazing and every day scientists and doctors discover very nice things about it.
I invite you to read very useful information about it on my blog : www.searchplato.com
I'll be very happy to hear your feed back either here or on the blog.
I wish you all the luck in the world.

| I switched from 10mg after a month to the 15mg about 2 weeks ago - I didnt ask it was just how the doctor does thing. Persoanlly I havent found much difference with the effects of the 15mg so I just wanted to say incase people on the 10mg think it will be magic fix to go up to the 15mg. |

Hi Banjoss and everybody else,
I'm so happy for you - 9 pounds in 2 weeks - well done :-) I'm gonna talk to my gp on Monday and see what he says - maybe he'll give me another week on the 10mg but if not I'll go straight for the 15mg cos I'm really determined :-) And the 10mg do work - but only for like 3 hours and then it wears off completely and I could eat the portion size that I ate before. I'm not doing that though, I'm trying to be good but a little more help from the Reds would really help :-) I'll let you guys know what my gp said on Monday :-) Have a great weekend everybody and keep on losing xx |

Sorry you had so many side effects. I've been lucky that I've not had any apart from a bit of insomnia and the odd headache.
I've lost 9 pounds in two weeks so far so I'm chuffed to biddly! |

| Hi Everyone! been a while since i posted and i have some news. I decided to go off the reductil. After one month I lost around 3- 4 kg, then i upgraded to the 15mg which i took for a week or so, then had a weekend off (as i was drinking thought best not to mix) then i went back on them and i was getting the WORST headaches and nausea, nearly vomited on my desk at work soo many times, i put up with it for just over the next two weeks and i couldnt continue. Im not a fan of taking tablets, so feeling like this all the time I was over it. I was also getting really sensitive underarms ?? and my glands felt swollen, and im happy to say that since being off the reductil that that side effect has gone and so has the headaches and nausea. I still though feel the reductil helped in terms of diet change, because i definately do not eat anywhere near as much as i used to and get full quite easily. I do not crave chocolate as much as i used to. I have also lost another 1.5kg so Im really happy with that. So overall up to 6.7 kg. I know its a slow loss, but hopefully this will stay off. So I might still post on here my progress, and see if i can keep going with good diet and exercise. Good luck to everyone :) |

| I didn't feel that it was doing anything for the first week though. Now I've just completed two weeks and I feel like I'm getting somewhere. I do feel hungry but for some reason its not bothering me. Must be the seratonin thing. If you've only been on it for four days, perhaps the proper effects haven't had time to kick in yet? |

Hiya,
thanks for your posts - it's so nice to read how other people feel :-) As for me.. today was the 4th day and today, I wasn't feeling full at all :-( I wonder if the 10mg just don't work for me.. I mean half an hour after I take them in the morning I can feel the effects and I feel full and am just not interested in food whatsoever but then 4 hours later I'm hungry and I could eat the same portion size as I did before.. It's strange and I don't know why :-( I've an appointment with my doctor next Monday, maybe I should ask for the 15mg? What do you guys think? It's really depressing cos it worked very well for the first 2 days... Any suggestions?? I'm so happy it's working for you guys though :-) Hope I'll get into the swing of things.. I am drinking almost 3 litres of water a day so I think I'm having enough water.. Oh it's depressing :-( |

I think I found that I retain a lot more water at different times of the month. The first week I didn't lose anything, the second week I've lost nearly half a stone and this week my clothes are baggier but I've not weighed yet.
I have a banana if I get really ravenous and a mug of tea (no sugar)they really fill me up as if I've had a big meal. I've dropped my big canteen lunch at work to a mug of soup. Then a mug of tea about an hour later.
Keep going with it - I'm on 10mg as well and I think as long as I'm in the right frame of mind - which I am at the moment - then this time with the help of the Reds I'm going to do it. |

| I am no expert as have only been taking them for just over a week but perhaps you could try filling up on more water? I found that on day 4 and 5 I had huge headaches, maybe after 4 days the body has built up a store and it changes the reaction you have to them?? I had to make a real effort to drink more water, 3ish litres probably. I still find that every now and then I have my hungry moments, depends on what I am doing, if ive done some excercise and what I have eaten earlier. If im busy it is easier. The craving food thing is probably more of a mental thing, I find I am having to work hard to break the mental habits I have around food - eating out of boredom or when tired. Just take each day as it comes, exercise, eat well and change your thinking and you'll be stoked with the number on the scales after a week. I worried for the first week that they might not work... am still worried that the first week was a fluke!! good luck, keep posting, other people with more experience will ahve some advice for you hopefully |

Hello guys,
I've been reading this thread for over a week now and thought I'd check in and say hi. I've been on Reductil for 4 days now and don't really know what to think.. The 1st, 2nd & 3rd day I felt the effects of the Reds but it feels like now on my 4th day it's not working anymore :-( Is this normal? I'm on the 10mg Reds & am a bit confused why it's not working today :-( I still have the dry mouth but apart from that don't really feel full and am kind of craving food which I didn't for the past 3 days... Confusion, confusion, confusion... Any ideas?? |

I have to say now that i'm in my second week, the weight has finally started to come off. Not as quickly as I thought though. I feel hungrier than before but get full up quickly. I think the best thing that Reductil has done for me is to quell my cravings. I don't have any!! I've even stopped my evening glass of wine I'm happy to say.

im on my second take of Reductil. i first did it when i was 18 and now turning 21 in a few weeks.
Spose i should start with, i am around 5ft9 and weight relativly close to 200kg, yes, 200, the doctor was a bit stunned when he was told that mainly because i don't look the part so to speak. the first time i took them, the cost was quite high and with financial difficulties i had to quit not long into them. think i went for about 45 days. but the weight i lost was high, i could go 5kg in a week (im only around 10kg heavier then i was 3 years ago, i used to be a real cola addict lmao, dont DRINK DIET COLA the replacement for sugar they use is worse. and stopping that i think has contributed to the very slow increase since)
Ive taken the 7th pill of the 30 day 10ml tabs atm.
the side efects alot more worse then before.
- Anxiety (very bad) and Depression (short small ones, not to dangerous)
- Insominia
- - Headache and Light headiness
- Dry mouth
- Appetite Loss
- Nausua
My blood pressure which ive been keeping an eye on regulary, has never been a problem for me. and i havent had palpitations
I can already see the changes in clothing size. and tbh the side affects are taking there toll a bit heavier then i expected. but ill see how well i am after the 2nd week.
)
the aim so far is to drop some weight before moving to a gastic bypass. (which tbh, is about the same price of 3-4 years of recuctil, tho hopefully be in the Govt Health fund soon (there in talks apparnt)
To those of you out there struggling..
One thing that helped me was thinking what my life would be like being slimmer.. think about it, and focus for it.
TRB. |

Hi I was in a similar boat to you. I weighed 69.7 and i am only 5 ft 3 also. I went to my doctor and explained that i was having alot of trouble losing that last 10 kgs due to having 2 kids. I exercise everyday but it just wouldnt budge. My doctor was real nice and put me straight onto reductil 15 mg I have been on it for a week now and have lost 2.2kgs and i didnt even have to watch what i ate, i just dont eat as much in each meal as I used to. I think you should have a talk to your doctor again or maybe see another doctor. I havent had any side effects which is great. Tell me how you get on :)

Hi A,
I posted a previous post a couple of days ago. I have had great success. Still it is not an overnite thing as we would like. Thats why the diet industries are rich. Now I have lost 16kgs since 10 May. I have loved food and eat under stress ect. every day use to be a new day- diet wise and fail misserably about 5pm. Now my key has been --1. Go on Diet King.com, even to go on there forums and weigh yourself every week through them -This is free. It will tell you your calorie intake you need. Start diaryising what you eat everyday. 2. Go on U tube and get some motivation of people and ther weight loss journey. The tablets really stop you from that 4 pm grazing.Motivation is the key to everything( ofcourse )and see the big picture. Xmas day for example.... You can do it.... Looking forward to hearing your losses. I will post them as well. Again Reductil has really helped me when I have tried everything.... It helps you get motivated in real terms. JJ Good Luck |

Hi Everyone.
I'm 21, 5" 9, and weight 113kg. Tomorrow is going to be my first day using Reductil and i'm very nervous. I got told earlier this year that I have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS), but I clearly started having problems when I was 16 but doctor's didn't know what was wrong with me. So i've been on every diet you can think of lol. I'm also on borderline of type 2 diabetes. After months on a diet of "Meditrim" and losing some weight it got to a point where my body did a whole reverse cycle and instead of losing weight I was gaining it back on and fast. One of my girlfriends has been using Reductil for atleast 5 months now and she looks awesome! So I decided to ask my doctor if Reductil was for me. So tomorrow will hopefully be a life changing moment for me. Wish me luck!

| Hi all me again, went to doctors today about my weight and she told me that after the body has lost around abt 7kgs it does slow down abit for some people and ive lost 8kgs, she said just to please stick with it for a few more weeks and i should start to lose again as long as i keep up the hard work!! so i trust her and i feel alot better just for the chat. shes doing some blood tests for me anyway just to help rule out any other underlying issues. will keep you updated. bye for now :o) Caz |

Read your information leaflet. Taking Reductil with an antidepressent can cause 'Serotonin Syndrome,' which can lead to very serious complications.
Don't panic about it, sure you'll be fine, but talk to your doctor asap. |
