Hi Cheereeos
I sometimes have trouble sleeping but most of the time I'm fine.
I went to the docs yesterday to be weighed and although i hadn't lost as much as I thought I had, he was really pleased with me. He was going to put me on the 15mg if I hadn't lost weight but decided I was doing fine. He said the side effects weren't good with the stronger ones.
I've started to realise that my weight loss won't be as instant as I first anticipated but at least its consistently coming off. |

Hi
I have been reading the posts since i have been on reductil
i have been on reductil for nearly 2 months - i was on the 10mg for the first month and lost 3.5kg which i was so happy about but being on the 15mg i have only lost 1kg - i am starting to get really down about it as i am exercising and eating right. i have read other post which people are saying the 15mg work better but this is not happening to me at all.. I have changed my eating habits and eating alot less but nothing.
any suggestions |

| just checking in as i havent for a while i am coming to the end of my 2nd month on reductil so far i have lost around 6-7 kg which is what i was aiming for, my first month was on the 10ml and then i moved up to the 15ml i didnt find any difference between them and i still have 2 more prescriptions but i think ill stop taking them for a while and see how i go as i am only 1 kg away from my goal i dont think that the reds have been the main factor to my weightloss but they have definetly helped i think they just helped me get a kick start as i have still been eating the same healthy foods that i was always eating and followed the same lifestyle (weight watchers inspired) as i did when i lost my previous 12 kg, i think the reds helped me to control my portions in the first few weeks but after that i was just doing it automatically ive still had cravings and i havnt denied myself of them and i havnt really been doing anymore excercise then usual the reds definetly helped me to get into the right head space though and to stay motivated (who wouldnt at $85 a pop)im going to see how i go with not taking them and try and lose my last kilo and finally get down to my goal of 58kg on my own if it doesnt work or i find that the reds were doing more then i thought i will consider restarting them once more! ill keep everyone posted! goodluck all! |

so, after 3 weeks or so now. i can see the difference. clothes that barely fit a few months ago, and some that dn ere a bit tight across the chest fit perfectly, tho need a bit of length still.
My pulse atm is the only thing that is worrying, my Blood pressure as it always has been.. has been normal, The side affects have disapeard completly now that my body is attuned to the drug.
Tbh, this is all without trying to dieting and not much excersise. so i should focus more and loose faster. but atm im happy to take it a few steps at a time.

| Its best to give up booze because they're just extra calories. I found the Reds took away all my alcohol and sweet tooth cravings. I used to drink a bottle of wine nearly every night but its been four weeks now and I've not touched a drop. I don't crave for it and don't feel I need it at all. Sweets go round work on birthdays etc but I don't have one and don't feel like I'm denying myself anything. Also the chefs in our canteen tried to get me to buy some little cream cakes and strawberry tarts they were selling off half price and normally I'd leap on them and gobble down four!! I just wasn't tempted at all. Don't get me wrong - I still get hungry and am hungry a lot of the time but its manageable. I never used to tolerate any first signs of hunger and would have to eat. But now it feels natural and healthy. I've now lost a stone in 4 weeks and my clothes are starting to fit better. I'm motivated when I see the big creases in my back disappearing and my waist returning (a bit!). Only three more to go. :O) |

English, Finish, Swiss and German scientists have put the finishing touches on a recent study that was published in 2007, stating that (My Reductil) sibutramine treatment should be offered as a part of a long term integrated therapeutic approach, including dietary and behavioral modification as well as increased exercise.

| Hi there, are u taking the Reductil first thing of a morning? If your not try that and see how u go....I've just started on it today and i'm hoping for some good results. I took it a couple of years ago and I definitely saw results. I don't recall having any trouble with sleep but as I said I take it first thing in the morning!!! Good luck :) |

Hi lose79 and everyone else!
I have really cut down on what I eat now. Breakfast is a bowl of cereal and a mug of coffee. Lunch a mug of home made soup and a mug of tea. Dinner is a side plate with meat and veg, or last night a chinese low fat prawn stir fry I made. Sometimes I just have a slice of bread with ham or bacon. My side plate is never full and its probably less than I used to give the kids when they were little!! But even though I'm ravenous at meal times, I get full a lot quicker so that the side plate of food really fills me up. The other day I had one slice of bread and a small roast chicken leg and my tummy hurt because it felt so full!! I weigh myself all the time now and the weight is coming off like it did when I was on the Atkins diet. I seem to lose a pound every two or three days!
I feel so much healthier and alert and someone said to me yesterday that my skirt was hanging off me. Ohh the joy!!!! Its time to buy a smaller size yippeee. However, I'm not gonna get complacent because in reality as per my doctor, I still need to lose 3 stone. I have an audition for a play in two weeks and I can't wait to dress up and know that I won't look massive. I have another in October.... that one is singing and dancing so something to really aim for.
by for now - keep it up folks - we're really getting somewhere.

Hi Banjossgirl and everybody else who's reading this,
I love how when you lose a bit of weight your entire energy level changes and you actually wanna get up and do some exercise :-) I'm not really a gym fan myself but they have tons of classes I wanna join so I can't wait. Dance classes? How fun - I'd love to do that too. They do offer aerobics with music at the gym and combine it with choegraphies so I'm really excited and can't wait to get started. I'm gonna try and have a cup of tea when I feel I'm getting hungry, maybe that'll help :-) How much do you eat a day though? What a silly question hahaha but it's interesting to know.. I wonder if I'm still eating too much even though it doesn't compare to what I used to eat before in the slightest.. 3 more stones to go - you'll do it hun :-) How long have you been on the Reds now and how much have you lost? I still have 40kg to lose - oh my god, that sounds like a massive amount of weight to lose - it sounds scary actually.. but I'm determined to do it and have never been so focused :-) My family doesn't know I'm doing this and they will see me only in November for my birthday - they'll be shocked and I can't wait to see their faces :-) I wonder how much I'm gonna lose in another 4 months.. I'm sure I;m not going to lose 10kg a month but even 8kg would make me so happy or even 5kg cos that'd mean another 20kg gone in 4 months - gosh, I'm still on a high from my gp's visit today - I hope it'll last a bit longer :-) I couldn't stop smiling today and am gonna go to bed with a big grin on my face :-) Sweet dreams and can't wait to hear from you again x |

That's why I've been reading alot about it.
My blog : www.searchplato.com is for new beginners on Reductil, so I want everybody sad because of his weight to start My Reductil as correctly as it can be.
Nice to hear from you.

Hi Lose79 how impressive!! I'm so jealous. Fancy losing all that weight and not realising how much! Well done you. I feel lighter and more mobile now, but am keen to start doing some exercise. I hate aerobics or the gym so I'm going to find a dance class. I'm on the 10mg too and I don't think I will need to move on to the 15mg at all. My cravings have gone completely and the hunger I feel is manageable. I just have a big glass of water or a mug of tea and the hunger disappears!
I really want to get to my ideal weight which is 3 more stones lighter and with the help of the Reds I am going to get there for the first time in years! |

Hello everybody,
I hope you all had a lovely weekend :-) Just wanted to update you on my progress.. As I said before, I had the feeling that the 10mg aren't working as well anymore even though I have only been on them for 10 days. Well today I had to go and see my gp for a weigh in. I must say I almost collapsed when he told me how much I lost :-) Let me give you the stats. I went to my gp on 26 June to get Reductil but he wouldnt prescribe it cos of my bp. He did weigh me though & told me to come back on 10 July for another bp check - this is when he prescribed Reductil to me and I didn't have a weigh in. So here are the stats..
26 June - 116kg - BMI 42.2
20 July - 106kg - BMI 39.2
That's 10kg!!!!!! Can you believe it? I have lost 10kg and haven't even noticed it - I'm still so amazed and so was my gp - he's so encouraging :-) I mean I can tell I have lost weight in my face & measurements but 10kg? I'm sure lots of it was water to start with but still - 10kg!!! So he is keeping me on the 10mg cos it seems to work VERY well for me :-) I'm going to join the gym this week too so here I come :-) How have you guys been getting on? I'm sooo happy :-) x |

Hi
No idea what you are writing to me for about this as there is obviously some misunderstanding!!! - I have had a lot of success on reductil!!!! I have lost about 15kg since I started it in the middle of May - my post the other day was refering to the fact 10mg and 15mg have had the same effect I didnt suddenly loose a load of weight when changed to the 15mg as some previous posts from people imply they hope will occur, I have just steadily been loosing weight on both. |

Hi there Septemberfield,
In reply to your quote, I just wanna tell you that you shouldn't judge My Reductil from the single experience of one month. Although there are individual differences as regards the response to My Reductil, but you shouldn't have switched to the 15 mg until the passage of 3 months on the 10 mg.
Hi there, ...
I'm an old guy on that forum and I've dedicated much space of my own blog for (My Reductil). That drug is amazing and every day scientists and doctors discover very nice things about it.
I invite you to read very useful information about it on my blog : www.searchplato.com
I'll be very happy to hear your feed back either here or on the blog.
I wish you all the luck in the world.

| I switched from 10mg after a month to the 15mg about 2 weeks ago - I didnt ask it was just how the doctor does thing. Persoanlly I havent found much difference with the effects of the 15mg so I just wanted to say incase people on the 10mg think it will be magic fix to go up to the 15mg. |
