| I've been on reds for 5 months. delighted with results and can cope with lack of sleep as I seem alert most of the time. BMI now 31,(was 39) and dropped from a 20 to a size 14. But suddenly got severe gastric pains and admitted to hospital with acute pancreatitis. Was there 8 days,antbiotice,intraveno us drip,no food till things settled. Numerous tests. No cause but symptoms now settled. Dont know if reds are culprit and so unwilling to start them up again in case pancreatitis flares up once more. Anyone know if red are guilty? |

| I am now on day 13. I had been taking the 15mg, (lost 5lbs so far)which were working really well to curb my appetite. I was feeling really spaced out and had noticed I was getting really dilated pupils. I stopped taking them over the weekend, and have reordered the 10mg. These seem to be better, as Im not getting so spaced out :) Ill keep you updated. | "21lbs in two months though" Thats not a "though" statement thats fantastic well done :) I went this morning, lost 9lbs 4kg Whoooo and i got my period today so thats another pound. They gave me another month :) |

| Hi everyone! I weighed myself after 3 days (couldn't wait any longer! :)) and had lost 2.3kg. Loads more to go but it's an encouraging start. I'm also drinking lots of water and have cut out bread, which is my downfall. Eating a light breakfast, fruit for lunch, and whatever the family's having for supper but only a small portion. Lots of veg, though. Trying low fat, no sugar. Sleeping well, slightly dry mouth in the evenings, but otherwise absolutely no side effects. Well done fredapark, stories like yours give others so much inspiration and determination to continue. |

| Hi I thought I would share my experience, been on Reductil since last Nov, started at 10mg was initially 118kg, went to the gym at least 3x a week and did weight training and cardio. Have lost a total of 30 kg average 1kg a week. Have toast for breakfast a protein shake for lunch and a normal tea. I eat the occasional Macdonalds,Nando's what ever I like and still drink alcohol on a regular basis. My portions are half the size and I take regular exercise. I have to drink 3 litres of water a day as get thirsty but thats ok as do not drink enough anyway. Have to take Reductil straight after breakfast otherwise get withdrawl symptoms such as pain in jaw, and insommina. Heart rate is slightly elevated about 10mmg higher than before so have to be careful in the gym and not let it go too high. Blood Pressure is normal to low 110/70. I have doubled the dose over the last 2 months now on 30mg a day as there was a plateau in my weight loss. I continue to lose 1kg a week. I have another 15kg to go before I reach my goal weight. Please do not rely on Reductil to magically help you lose weight, It is about changing your life style habits and healthy eating and making exercise part of your life, I am now riding horses, rock climbing, riding superbikes and have lots of confidence. Don't suddenly stop taking it as side effects present as electric shocks in your fingers and jaw, you have to slowly come off them. Its costing me a fortune in new clothes as a pair of jeans only last 4 weeks but the new fit and healthy me will be worth it. Good luck to you all :-) |

| it works for some and not for others. i was on the 10mg tablets for 5 months and lost 29kgs. i didnt exercise at all in that time. i am now back on them again in 4 days in so hopefully i lose some more. a few of my friends have tried it but they dont seem to lose much. so i guess its different with each person. |

| I am 5ft 7, and weigh 12st 12. I am on day 9 and now weigh 12st 8. feel really light headed, and spaced out..... im sure that its fine. I love not craving junk food! |

| Im not on the pill anyway so i make sure i have protection dont worry, yeah defo not preggers but i dare not weigh myself incase i have water retension, but i have been waiting for over a week now! | Tanyaprice19 It can be one of the side effects, also ensure you use some sort of birth control other than the pill as can also have an effect. Only from what I have read mind I'm no expert.... |

| Education is the key...Reductil is a great product and one using it should not only rely on it for a quick fix... If you want to see the best results in about a month incorporate a little walk in the morning (20-30mins) Some squats,lunges for 10 minutes is also enough... Also find which foods work best for you..... |

| I started on 15's yesterday. It's great to read everyone's experiences and successes! I must lose 50kgs - I weigh 117. | Thanks for advice.. Im very excited.. want to get on the scales cause I actually feel 'lighter' and I swear even though its only been 4 days my waist feel smaller (optimistic??).... want to get on the scales but also want to see a big result at the end of week 1... I started on a Monday because I always eat worse on the weekend, hopefully I will stay strong knowing I getting on the scales... fingers crossed! |

| Dont get down on yourself because you slip up on one meal.. its only one day.. but make sure it stays at that and doesnt become a week! I have bought a little notebook that I write down everything that I eat and drink. At the end of the day I can look back and see where I went wrong and make sure I dont do it again. It keeps me focused and motivated.. as usually with other diets I seem to lose track and slowly 'forget'. I know your not supposed to but I weigh myself daily... I have a scale that is very accurate and will tell me how many kilos/ grams I have lost. I find that helps me to want to do better too, if I have put on a little.. I make sure Im really good the next day. The kilos drop really fast at the start and then they slow down. With food I try to eat really nutritious food as the amount you do eat is small and you want to pack as many vitamins and minerals in there as possible. I love to eat fresh fruit and veg as it contains no fat and I can eat as much as I want (until im full). If your not feeling any side effects, thats great! Lucky you! As long as your recognising that you are getting fuller quicker its working. Reductil wont effect your moods like Duro does. Duro is almost like taking speeed and with every 'high' comes a very bad 'low'. Reductil will just block the receptors in your brain that give you the desire to eat and help to keep your metabolism going at a moderate rate (as we all know usually when you dont eat much your metabolism slows down). Its so exciting having this control over my weight for the first time in my life! |

I've just stuffed up..and stuffed myself with fish and chips :( not only do I feel guilty but I fill over full and disgusting - but didn't eat as much as usual.. but still too much.. What sort of diets are people following... low calorie, low carb?? Any advice is great.. goal to reach by mid September.. |

| sis-snake I have been taking 10mg for 5 days and I have been the same, no side effects apart from dry mouth which seems to only happen in the evenings. I dont think its anything to worry about, I just feel luck after reading all the side effects and I have been super fine. Lets see at the end of the month how many KG we have lossed and if not much then I think we should worry ;-p good luck |

| Im a bit worried, Im not really experiencing any side effects (this is a good thing right). Today is my 3rd day on the 15's. The first night I couldn't get to sleep straight away but apart from that I've had a dry mouth sometimes and thats it... Does this mean its not working?? How often does everyone weigh to see progress? |

| i have come into work today and forgot my reductil tablet!!!! i nearly had a hart attack!!! but its now 15:12 and i have had 1 hobnob and soup and barm for my lunch and alot of water so amnot really doing to bad, but i dont feel right without me tablet! side effects are inevitable but its diffrent for everyone, i have been lucky only dry mouth, and thats really it. i did get a little rash and panicked but its gone now so i think it was nothing. i am now 82.5kgs, or 181 lbs, i started my tablets 2 weeks and 4 days ago i didnt weigh myslef propley at the start the doc did. i am going to wait until i go back the docs and hope for the best. my clothes r hanging of me tho. so thats a gud sighn. Its exciting isnt it!!! |
