Hi Everyone.
I started Reductil 10mg Thursday last week for two days. The first day I lost 2POUNDS and the other day I lost 1pound. I stopped taking it for two days because of the irritating headaches I was having in the evenings that caused me to loose sleep. However, I began today to take them again because I paid $100 dollars and I need to loose weight.
SW: 88kg
CW: 85KG
I lost 3kg in 4 days (two days on 10mg)
I must say I did exercise and ate everything such as fruits for breakfast, lunch with salad, protein and veggies and some cookies. My appetite was open up extremely, Plus in the evening I ate bread and I still lost. This time around, I did notice a difference, I have no appetite at all. I ate fruits and yogurt for breakfast but now I don't feel hungry at all. I will be adding exercise to my program.
I will keep you posted if the headaches returned and if I lost more weight with diet and exercise, so far no side effects. Today is day 3.

hi amberpethick, i was talking to my doctor and he told me 80% of people will regain the weight before 2 years when they stop taking the tablets.
but,the only reason is because people dont continue to eat healthy and exercise....its got nothing to do with the tablets! i guess thats the good thing about diet and exercise while on reductil...sure you can still lose kilos without exercise and even without eating the lowest fat food but when people come off the tablets they cant do that and continue to lose weight...eventually..thos e people will start gaining weight....by exercising and dieting while on reductil you are training yourslef to live a new healthy lifesyle..even when the tablets stop so i think that aslong as you stick to the exercise and healthy food even after the tablets theres a good chance you'll be one of the 20% that keeps it off....this is what im thinking for myself anyway!! good luck! i hope you have great success with the weightloss. |

only starting on 10mg and my starting weight is 73 im aiming to get down to to hopefully 60 |

| Hi adam, yeah it's funny looking at some goals, you'd think god I'd love to weigh that now!! Never content but as I say I'm only 5.2 and don't want diabetes or heart problems. 76kg was too heavy for me seriously and I was uncomfortable which is often the worst kind of feeling. Too when your clothes don't sit right. I had put away a pair of jeans (UK12) and guess what , they too big, but in saying that , that's only one pair not all my old ones. I think that clothing is sitting better even if I don't look much smaller because I'm more comfortable and not drawing attention to my problem bits. Anyway were doing well and my birthday is 31 dec so that's a goal for me too. Keep going and we are allowed a few days off at xmas like everyone else !! |

Hi girls and everyone new
Well Hillbilly chick I have had the same problem this month to very little next to nothing lost.. but im not given up, the up side is that iv have not gain any weight so that is keeping me going, maybe have lost one kilo this month but maybe im losing body fat or what ever all I no is that I look and feel better, going to have my blood rechecked on monday becuase i have a throid problem so it could be stopping me losing at moment because they reduce my dosage now they think its not working!! ah doctors and their bright ideals, so hopefuly looking for a big lost next month, have been taken them for two months now well started on the 1st oct and will stop them on the 31st dec and see if I can go it alone.
7kg is great loss its funny really your start weight is my goal weight, but the goal post always seems so far away in the beginging but were are half way down the pitch!! keep in touch let us no how your getting on, its great to chat and see how everyone is doing...

Hi all
I am new to this, I am on day 6 with 15 mg and weigh 92kg so hoping this works for me.
I noticed the first 2 days i felt spaced out then felt fine. Today being day 6 my heart is racing like mad and ive got a bit of the shakes, Is this normal? My meals have become so much smaller then i'm used to having and sometimes i feel really hungry but can't eat more.
I hope I can get some of the fabulous results i have read on here it's very encouraging |

| Hi vasodiorio, it's hard to say I had no desire for alcohol for a few weeks after I started REDS. I too ate small quantities and had to force myself to eat. That will settle but don't starve either because then you won't lose weight properly. I'm 7 weeks now and some weeks I have no side effects and some weeks I do. It just depends, but i have not felt bad enough to want to pack it in. Good luck and it will regulate itself soon enough, well it did for me |

Well, Its day 3 for me and I have just noticed some side effects, I woke up really early this morning, and was mentally alert, but body asleep!
has anyone else has that? I also had 3 glasses of wine last night and felt way more tipsy than I normally would, so perhaps its best not to drink at all? Which is probably a good idea as its so calorie laden anyway.
Would everyone agree that its important to make yourself eat even when you dont feel like it? I dont want to be starving myself, but i also dont want to stay in the habit of eating when I dont need to.

hi, hailee,
ive had to give up sugar for medical reason which has helped loads, i think my biggest diet change has been cutting out sweets, chocolate, cakes and alcohol. eating loads of fruit and drinking pints and pints of water (there is a plus side to the dry mouth side effect lol) i always try to leave something on my plate even if not full which is hard after years of being told to clear my plate.
I also find it hard to fit exercise in with the hours i work but if i no im not gonna be able to fit some Wii fit in that day i just make sure im walking up the 3 flights of stairs at work instead of using the lift.
The biggest battle is trying to change your eating habbits ive realised a lot of the time in the past ive been eating purly because i like a food item not because i was hungery, the tablets do work but there is a element of self control needed as well.
It will be interesting to see what happens this month Good luck |
