Hi adam, don't worry you have lost a lot of weight already sometimes I 'd not lose any for couple of weeks, then it would start again Your body has to adjust and we all know that slowly slowly will keep it off. Anyway just over a month til Xmas, so you'll be fine !

Hi lariena, i know you think that may be a small amount of weight, but I am only 5'2'. Iwas always about 55kg, but I,m 43 now , 2kids on at 31 one at 40 so believe me 60kg won't be skinny but it's where I'm most comfortable and still look like I've boobs (bottom will have completely gone by then, even now it is shrinking more than I like). It's like my Dad always says to me, no you're not fat you're just too short !!

Hi Ada,
Dont stress hun,10kg is a fantastic amount to lose so far. Maybe you need to mix it up a bit-eat a couple of hundred calories extra a day for a few days and then cut them out. Have u been able to get any exercise in? Its hard when u dont see the scales move but try stay positive, you've already come a long way. You just need to get back in the right frame of mind... Your not failing at all... PLUS you have a medical problem to contend with so dont be so hard on yourself. Do u think the reductil is doing its job or are u finding yourself hungry these days? Im here anyway if u need a chat... lariena xx

Hey lariena welcome im new to reductil as well ive been on reductil since last thursday and have lost 4 kilos i have been eating less and healthier have ditched all the sweet stuff and if i feel like a fizzy drink i have a diet coke that has only 1 calorie per 250ml thats my treat i go to the gym i try to everyday sometimes i go away camping but im always active when im camping so it replaces the gym, i do cardio and weights i feal great no side effects havnt had problems with my ladies yet but we'll soon find out, i weighed 74.6 kilos on wednsday last week my weight loss goal is to get down to 50kgs my original weight, which is a weight loss of 20 kilos needed along with the healthy low calorie eating and the gym im sure i will get there and not to mention i did just have a baby 7 months ago i got another 2 months worth of reductil so that give me 3 months of reductil hopefully that will be enough to cut the fat lol, I am having troubles eating i dont feal hungry and i have to keep reminding myself to eat ive noticed im eating under 500-800 calories a day all ive eaten today is a diet 70calorie yoghurt for breaky a apple for lunch 60 calories and for afternoon tea i had half a salad roll which is 200calories and then i had a banana for dinner 170 calories i noticed that you must eat atleast 5 small meals a day including your protein which is meat, vedgetables,a potato for carbs these tablets need something to burn and if they dont have what they need to burn then you wont loose the weight, now dont go out and eat a cow just eat responsibly and if you stick to that then the more the tablet will burn,i havnt noticed a difference in my image but my scales are telling me that im loosing the weight ive got the weight watchers weights they tell you your body fat h2o and your weight its great goodluck i will tell you what my total weight loss is on thursday, were all doing the right thing were making a change in our life we should all be proud of ourselfs be strong smile x ...

well what has been working for me is drinking lots of water 5 small meals a day.
and walk for around 2 hours a day or more.
just remember reductil doesn't make you lose weight it only helps you 50% of the way you have to do the rest in what you eat and how you much training you do. what i have been doing is walking in my lunch break at work extra which means i walk a extra 5 hours a week. you don't need detox or a diet just eat good food no *** and eat small amount of carbs at night you need carbs but you have to workout after. ive been losing 3 kgs a week with this plan.
keep your head up and tell your self you can do it. good luck

Hi Hillbilly chick!
Thanks a million, yea im really pleased with the results! I have another 14kg to go so im almost half way there!! :)I started at 92kgs and im now 79kgs so im just happy to see the number going down!! How about yourself? What was your starting weight? 6kgs is quite alot too for just 6 weeks so id be very happy with that too!! The slower it comes off the more likely it will stay off... I got my p today so last night i was really bold but back on bandwagon today, went to gym first thing this morning. Its hard to be good everyday anyway!! How did u find the weekend?

hi Lariena, wow you doin fantastic, I'm just 6kg after 6weeks. But in saying that I am happy enough lost nothing this week but bad TOM and usually I could put on 2-3kg in that time so staying the same is great. Have you much more to lose 13kg is a great amount. Think I've between 6-9kg to go yet myself not 100% but approx. It's lovely when people start to notice I think it encourages you even more. I felt great this week getting into my old jeans and ditching a couple of bigger ones. You must be over the moon Congrats and keep it up !

Thankyou everyone for replying to my message im happy to be on the board its good talking to people who actualy understand weight isues. Weighed my self thismorning to track my progress in my diary was 73.5 yesterday and now today 72 so mayby thats just a fluke lol not getting to excited just yet but fealing very confident inmy self went to the gym last night, To all of you wanting to know about the side effects well i havnt had any infact im happier than what ive usualy been and im usualy realy nasty since ive been off my anti depressants so this medication has sort of worked as a antideppresant for me much happier easier to get along with the tablet doesnt keep me up at night i dont ahve headaques or nausea just great signs which is happyness, energy, keeping busy cleaning the house,i have been sweating a bit but not tomuch it has been extreamly hot here in queensland and i have been running arround alot getting ready for a camping trip but i ahve hurd that when your body sweats its a sign that your working hard and something good is happening to the body sweating out all the muck ive also bought a book by allan boruskes pocket calorie and fat counter usualy buy them from the store or go to www.dietclub.com.au its a great book for marking your calories and im so amaized of how many calories are actualy in most food its got every food and fast food in the book and has a diabetes diet guide cholesterol counter and fats diet guide and a weight control diet guide so easy to understand ;D will keep you updated at the end of every week Happy dieting xo Peta

Re:Reductil( does it work)?? ne1 know?? Reply to this message
Hi Peta

Welcome to the board
Yes I suppose that a lot of people might read your post and wish there were your weight, but everyone here has issues with their weight so it does not matter if you have 10kilo or 5kilo to lose its YOUR weight to lose..everyone here is doing well on the reds but the fact that your only going to be on them for a month is going to be tough, if you want to get back to the pre baby weight of 50kgs that is way to much to try and lose in a month, (22.3kgs), so instead of setting yourself up for failure, my adive is to set yourself realistic goals for the month ... the normal weight lose on the tablets according to the experts is 1 1.5kgs a week, yes a lot of other people here lost more me including but I had a lot more to lose than you and I do believe the more you have to lose the faster it comes of in the first month as a lot of it is fluid..

You have taken the first step to reduce your weight so be proud of that.. I have to say in my case the tablets worked well for the first month ( im on them now 7 weeks) now they are starting to wear off, but its more will power now for me,

My adice to you is to go for it but dont be to hard on yourself either, I cut everything out first month but have slowly reintroduced some things back becuase you just cant live on rabbit food for the rest of your life , so take one day at a time, and try and eat more low fat food after your month on the tablets..

Remember you have to have will power and starting the tablets for me gave me the kick start I need..

P.S Drink lots and lots of water
Hope this helps

A

Good Luck

Hi wallea00, hi adam weighed in and well lost nothing this wek. So my 6kg has spread over 6 weeks instead. Still I have not gained could be worse. A neighbour noticed yesterday (not seen her in ages) so that felt god. And I can't keep my sweat pants or favourite trousers up anymore. Think i can sacrifice the trousers ha!! Hope next week better, have lost track of TOM as I've been concentrating so hard on the weight. Hope this is why I've not lost any. Good luck , 70kg now so 60-63kg is still the goal !!!

Hey Peta (:
I can relate to how you're feeling! I'm also around the same age. I had been a steady 50kg also, for quite sometime, until I put on a some weight slowly at the end of last year. But then gained a huge amount of weight around march to june. Which brought me to 69kg I have now been on reductil just over a month and have lost around 7 kg.
With the all the exercise that you're doing it sounds like you won't have a problem getting to your goal weight!
I think this is my last month that I have reductil for and would really like to lose 10kg. - I'm doing the same sort of exercise routine as you.
Hope reductil works for you! Let me know how you're going. Good luck.
- Addie (:

Hello My names Peta im 19, i weigh 72.3 kgs my orriginal weight was 50kgs before i had my son. I bought my first packet of REDUCTIL 10MG today and hope that it will help me shed the kilos before christmas I go to the gym everyday and do cardio and every 2nd day i do cardio and weights for body tone i spend 2 hours a day in at the gym and i have a food adiction i cant stop eating i can eat what a average person will eat in one week and i will eat that in one day so im hopign that the tablets will help me with my eating disorder and stop me from eating so much i want to be fit for my son it wont be long until hes up and running arround, Im sick of being fat and sitting on the lounge eating myself to death i know there are some of you who may be alot bigger in the 100 + range and are probably reading this and laughing at me wishing you were my size but ive never been bigger then 50kgs and it has made me feal like i want to jump of a bridge and the only thing that keeps me here is my son i know he needs me so ive been reading some of your messages and your weight loss and i would like to know if there is anyone out there the same size as me who lives the same sort of lifestyle who has shown good weight loss in only one month it was so hard getting this medication but with a little convincing i got it so i think one month is all i will get thankyou for reading hope to hear from you all soon and congratulations to those who have lost the weight. cheers Peta

hi!
Thought id post today seeing i wont be on tomorrow...
For those whom dont know im on the 15mg tbls and have been since sep 28th 09

SW 118/120
CW 103.6kg
GW 85/90kg

in my experience, reductil worked great for the first 3 weeks; well it was apparent/obvious that it had an obvious effect. Now, that obvious apparent effect has mellowed out,but in saying so im not suggesting that its not working, as i havent stopped taking it so i wouldnt be in a position to pass judgment... considering im still losing weight must be testimony but again this has alot to do with me wanting to lose weight. i need to blend the willingness to want to lose weight, thus eating accordingly
good luck 2 u all
