| If you have suffered the heartburn or reflux for a long time you may have damaged your asophagus and this may need medical treatment (possibly surgery). Get a doctor to check it out properly. Most often the cause of heartburn and reflux is overeating or a diet high in fat. Caffeine or too many fizzy drinks also make the problem much worse. I suffered badly from reflux but after 6 months on Nexium (sorry, but is not natural) and a change of diet, I have not had any heartburn or refux now for over 5 years. For some people just taking an antacid is enough. Most of these are made from very basic products and very little manufacturing is involved so they are not very far removed from being organic. They rarely involve manufactured chemicals, ask a chemist for advice as to which are best for you. | I have a friend who had acid refluxand was on medication. I t helped a bit but didn't fix it. He started on the Goji Juice ( which is totally natural). | Ive only just joined this message board so...i'm a bit late with news...but I have heard that filling your mouth with your own saliva and then swallowing do this 3 or 4 times helps to neutralise the gases that are casued by acid reflux to reduce pain. Also have heard about eating a particular kind of apple may reduce or rid a person of reflux but i think for memory this info came from american site so it is quite likely to be an american grown apple and the person didnt indicate what type of apple it was sorry. if i find the www. i'll post it here.. hope this helps I have continual problems with indigestion & am looking to find any natural remedies that will help. |
