I have been using psyllium husks and a change of diet -have lost 5kg and dropped my cholestrol from 5.9 to 3.9 in 3 months.
They are available from health food shops and supermarkets and you take 2 teaspoons at a time-sprinkled on cereal you don't even taste it! |

| Some yrs ago following surgery, I craved fresh, crisp apples and ate quite a few each day. Next cholesterol reading was way down! My doctor told me that it's a recognised fact that something in apples assists in lowering cholesterol! No nasty drugs required. |

Another way to lower both Cholesterol and Blood Sugar levels is to take very small amounts of Vanadium. Generally sold as Vanadyl Sulfate or Vanoxyl but not in Aussie for some reason its on the TGA hate list.
Works for me when I can get my hands on it. |

| Hi. High cholesterol can be managed by reducing your intake of animal fats and increasing your intake of omegas - eg Flaxseed oil or fish oils. Eat plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables. Porridge is a good breakfast for lowering cholesterol. I can also recommend from my own personal experience an incredibly yummy mix of potent fruit juices that I have been drinking (in conjunction with the other lifestyle changes I have already mentioned) which has lowered my high cholesterol. The juice is very high in antioxidants and other goodies. The other great thing I have noticed is that my Chrones Disease, degenerative spine condition and arthritis in my hips and knees are no longer painful and I have been able to stop taking pain killers. Quite a bonus as I have been in pain for years and tried everything with little success until now. Worth a try...it certainly worked for me!! You can check it out if you want on http://www.mymonavie.com/BrisonHealthyForLife. Doesn't cost to look!! Hope it all works out for you. Best of luck. |

Hi,
I've had some computer issues and I apologize for the late response. I can get you any information you want. Email me at nunotes@yahoo.com and I will promptly send you the information you are requesting. This natural, scientifically engineered, and patented product REALLY lowers cholesterol safely and effectively. It is located in the same PDR (Physician's Desktop Reference 2005) as those unpredictable statins.
Thanks for your interest.

I know this reply was posted over a month ago but I just happened onto this board. My daughter was in a similar situation. Her predicament was extremely serious because she is a Physician's Assistant working in urgent care at a magor city hospital in the Baltimore, Md area. Because her cholesterol was 314 (Ouch!!) she was denied disability and of course was offered Lipitor. Most medical personel will look for another alternative to statins because they know of all the side effects, like violent reactions and muscle issues. A friend, who is a nurse, recommended something that had lowered hers. Ready to try something that smart doctors, PA's, & nurses are taking and recommending for their patients? It's a safe effective treatment that is listed in the PDR (Physician's Desktop Reference on page 3321) which is located in every doctor's office. It's a system that has 2 patents on it for the reduction of serum cholesterol. It's called Bios Life 2. Oh,by the way, my daughter lowered her cholesterol over 100 points to 190 in less that a month. My skeptical PA daughter was impressed along with all of her colleages.

Regular exercise helps to lower cholesterol.
Avoid saturated fats .. check out the labels on the foods you buy .. it helps to have a balance of polysaturates and monosaturates as well as some saturated fat. It's the saturated fat you need to keep down .. it's the part of the fat content that does the damage. Not all vegetable oils are unsaturated... so check the nutritional label.
It's best not to smoke. |

| I know one person with really high cholestoerol who went on the SureSlim programme to lose a bit of weight, but mainly to lower her cholesterol. I don't know if you need to lose weight, but it may be worth looking into if you want to do that too! |
