Re:Scott's Emulsion Reply to this message
Greetings!! .My son is 11 months old the Dr. suggested to wait until he was a little over a year. I have already bought two bottles and I am eagerly awaiting for that time to arrive. My son has beginning asthma and severe allergies and I hoping that this will be my miracle cure. This oil worked when my girls were little but they were 2 yrs. old when I started giving it to them. They always had the croup cough and severe colds and this helped GREATLY (off antibiotics and never got sick again). It worked for me and I recommend it to all mothers. Good luck! Hope this helped.

all I can tell you is The Scott's brand is a cod liver oil range of emulsions rich in natural sources of vitamin A and D, calcium, phosphorus and omega 3. The emulsion helps build up the body's natural resistance to infections and develop strong bones and teeth.

hello I two remember this as a kid and found it hard to find, but you can find it online on the Walgreen site. Now my grandmother use it but she put it in 100 proof wiskey with rock candy and we were given a teaspoon everyday.

Re:Scott's Emulsion Reply to this message
My mum gave Scotts Emulsion to us when we were kids...and thats over 30years ago. I thought the stuff was revolting and would always baulk at taking it..no wonder I had some much trouble with Bronchitis as a child. As an adult, I've been interested in natural remedies and often wondered if Scott's Emulsion was sold anymore...think its time to go shopping. Thanks for the reminder everyone.

Re:Scott's Emulsion Reply to this message
Hi

My name is Cindy I too took scott's emulsion as a child. Right now my mom takes the emulsion every day. My mom also takes cod liver oil which is in the emulsion. My mom has had pneumonia, she's asthmatic and has had bronchitis problems for years and she swears by it. For me because I lost track of the emulsion I gave my first born cod liver oil. Because of this is one of the reasons I think she never had a cold, never had ear infections. Basically for the first year and a half she was never sick.

My only problem was for some stupid reason I never gave it to my last 2 kids. I'm sure if I had they would not have had the bronchiole problems as they got older.

So yes either the scott's emulsion or cod liver oil will most definitely help keep the babies lungs clear.

2 more examples of the cod liver oil/scott's emulsion benefits. If you have had a cold or a cough that you can't get rid of take the cod liver oil. Myself I take the capsules. For my daughter I took the capsule, cut the top enough to open it and then squeezed it into heer mouth. After about a week or so she didn't notice the taste. I started this when she was about 2 1/2 to 3 months old and gave it to her for almost a year or more. She's now 25.

My youngest daughter and I gave it to my grandson. He has asthma.

I have used either the scott's or the cod either way you can't go wrong. You should see a difference in your child in about a week and a half. This will keep him regualr too. Remember it is also a laxitive. If you want give it to him everyday for about 3 days and then every other day. You will see a big difference.

Good luck

Re:Scott's Emulsion Reply to this message
Hello there,
Just stumbled upon your message about Scott's Emulsion. Just wanted to let you know that I had that when I was young as well.
I loved the stuff! And..apparently drank a whole bottle one time when my parents weren't looking.
That must be why they kept it on top of the kitchen cupboards after that.
I can still see it up there.
I think I will try to find an old bottle just for a momento.
Cheers

Scott's Emulsion Reply to this message
Does anyone know if it is possible to buy Scott's Emulsion nowadays? As a child my mother used to give this emulsion of cod liver oil to us telling us it was good for our health. It's probably some 40+ years since I have seen it, recalling it being in a bottle wrapped in a brown label with a picture of a man carrying a huge fish on his back.
