I have a friend that's planning to divorce fairly soon. He owns his house that is worth about $600k. His wife is not so smart and he thinks he can sell it, divorce her and keep the lot.
When she drags him through court he plans to say "what money?"
I've been telling him that the family court will force him to pay up, or he'll be put in jail.. but he's adament she won't get anything.

I does suck when you are the party who has been 'wronged'. Trust me I know how it feels.
But I'm not sure that anyone would want to go back to the old days of 'at fault' divorce.
The thought of standing in court and airing all the dirty laundry about who did what to whom does not appeal to me at all.
It's easiler said than done but it is better just to get on with your life as soon as possible.
If it's getting you down seek out local support groups for guys going through separation / divorce.
If you are in Australia Google 'dads in distress' or 'mends'. |

| Isn't it about time that the law was changed to ensure fidelity in the marriage was paramount. Women have turned the tables and doing it all too often and then they are protected by the law. Men have to stand up for themselves before it is too late. |
