Hi There,
I'm an EN, have been for nearly 20 years. It used to be that after you did your 2nd year of Rn's you could register to be an EN, but I think that has all changed. I think you have to do the whole EN course, best to stay with the EN's

Bachelor of Nursing -> Enrolled Nurse? Reply to this message
Hi guys,
Hopefully some of you can help me.
I'm currently in my first year of Bachelor of Nursing and have just completed my first semster. However, I'm not enjoying it as much as I would have liked and would love to have taken a gap year.
I guess I'm wondering at what point of my degree I'm able to be endorsed as an EN? The tafe course knocks the first year off your Bachelor, so I always thought it was after the first year? or maybe second?
I'd love to take a year off and work as an Enrolled Nurse or even work as an EN while I study. I'll definantly go back to study to become a RN if I take some time off though.
Is there a conversion course you have to do to be endorsed? or are you just considered an EN after a certain amount of study?

THANKS FOR YOUR HELP! .. much appreciate!
