| steph, it's a piece of cake! I had mine done in 1999 and even then it was keyhole surgery and 1 day in hospital. No scars! |

I know your anxiety. I have mine removed in about 3 weeks.
It's great to share this info and don't forget to pray about it. |

Had key hole surgery and had no problems with the surgery itself BUT had urgent diarrhoea on and off for months after it -told this was due to a "bile drop" have also had the same problem intermittently since.
Was advised to have the surgery even though the only symptoms bothering me were abnormal liver funcion tests and they coincidently found I had gall bladder stones and "sludge" |

| I had my gall bladder removed 18 months ago. I was petrafied as I hadnt had surgery since I was a baby. But the procedure was very straight forward - 4 small incisions and rest for 6 weeks afterwards. I had no pain and I felt so much better after having constant gall bladder attacks before surgery. |

| Had keyhole op 11 years ago 12 stones removed one was trapped in my bile duct I was severly jaundiced (even my eyes were yellow!)but no probs since.I would recommend keeping a fairly low fat diet after as some specialists think the liver struggles with fats more after gall bladder removal.I have since been diagnosed with a "fatty liver"and do have minor probs with heartburn & digestion since the op. |

| Had my gall bladder out last year and it was done by key hole surgury. Was in overnight and was very sick as mine was infected. Was (is) the best move I have ever done. Another lady was in having her gall bladder done at the same time and she was 95. I had 3-4 key holes and did not have any probs with then and the one thing you MUST NOT do is carry, lift anything for 6 weeks as you can get a hernia and if you are a mum you will know that is very hard. Good luck and do not worry. |

| I had my gall bladder a few years ago and haven't looked back.. was in hospital a few days then just had to take it easy ofr a couple of weeks and was fine.. now days it's much easier as they tend to do keyhole surgery.. which is for a much quicker healing time.. you wil be fine try not to worry.. |
