Re:Credit Card Reply to this message
You could withdraw the cash, then get a balance transfer onto a card which offers a low interest rate for an introductory period. This site has a list of balance transfer options: http://www.iwantacreditcard.com.au/search/?tag=bal ance+transfer

Re:Credit Card Reply to this message
Commonwealth Bank rang advising they were changing their Credit Card Cash Advance Fee from $1.25 to whichever is the higher of $1.25 or 1.25% of cash advance value.

eg $10,000 cash advance with cash advance fee of $125.00 plus the interest rate.

Cash Advance Fee = 23 days interest

Re:Credit Card Reply to this message
Find someone who is going to buy something for around five hundred dollars in cash. Instead of them paying the merchant with cash use your credit card to make the purchase. They give you the money, then you give her the money. This way you will not be charged cash advance fees. You may even earn reward points for yourself if you have a reward credit card. This idea is unorthodox but should work; I hope this helps. http://www.creditfast.com

Re:Credit Card Reply to this message
best advice. Clearly though you haven't got $500 spare cash so be aware that if not paid for within interest free period you will incur interest charges also.

Re:Credit Card Reply to this message
How about an electronic payment?

I have sent money to people via pay pal and the charge goes onto my credit card. The person gets CASH and I get a month to pay before interest is charged.

It's just a thought.
