couponcactus has lots of American products and 10% off offers. I suspect the referral perk is the bonus here. There are better sites around.

9 Draw out cash once a week..but at the end of the week put it in a box and don't touch it. You then start using it to buy shares. This si the fun part. Once you've paid your debts, got your card under control, and got your food spending nailed..and your kids are working for you..you can start nibbling away at the market.

8 Oh, yes you can!! Of course you can do it on $200!! You just have to be smart about it. Forget buying chips and Coke. Plan your meals ahead. Use your oven to cook cheap roasts and nice stews. Do takeaway once a month. Run a stock up list; milk in bulk, cheap meat in bulk, toilet paper in bulk. Clean out your pantry and get ahead on your stocks. Go back to basics a bit. You don't need cheese at $25 a kilo.

7 Use a shopping list. If it isnt on the list, don't buy it. If the kids eat all the icecream at one go, that's it for the week. You should be able to get by at $200/week for 2 teenagers and 2 adults.

5 Cash stash. Put $30 in the car to pay for petrol. Collect gold coins in a jar. Have a mad money wallet. Where you know you will need money, park it. That way you won't have to dig out a $50, break it, and probably spend all of it.

4 Ditch the movies. If you have a big screen, put pillows on the floor, get out the snacks, and treat yourself to a DVD. It's much more fun than sitting up straight in the movies and often the company is better!

3 Decide how much a tidy house is worth to you and farm out the workload at $10 an hour. Set up a roster and check it. Kids will work for cash, and you should train them anyway. You'll save a mint on your cleaner, if you still have one, and you won't have to pay your kids pocket money

2 Learn excel and set up a spread sheet (see www.about.com for free tips on this) Then start thinking about where your money is going. Some people do very well with little charts and targets to control their spending.

Many ways. 1 Put your pay in an online at call high ionterest bearing account. From this, pay your credit card weach month the day before it is due..in full. You have created a parking account which earns daily interest. (on $5,000...about $25 a month.)

if you decide to put things on your Credit Card make sure you pay it off your every month on time!
Probably one of the best pieces of advice ever. It's amazing how many people don't do this and throw their money away on interest or late payment fees. |

Mine would be; if you decide to put things on your Credit Card make sure you pay it off your every month on time! And before the interest! Also...only see movies on Tightwad Tuesdays. Distinguish needs from wants (a hard one!) Cut down on or quit alcohol, smoking and bought coffees!

whith higher interest rates, opening a savings account with 7%+ p/a interest should not be too hard to find. Compound monthly with consistent deposits eg.$1000/ month.
-simple old school way to save money.. |

I found one of the best ways to save money is to use a cash back/couopn website. The best one I have found is www.couponcactus.com . They are simple to use, have hundreds of stores and thousands of couopns. Not only that, the free membership gets you cash back on all your purchases. Definatley give it a shot. If you sign up please do me a favor and tell them 5565668 referred you. I get a little perk for referring people. Thanks.
