| I read this forum the other day and thought i'd give the shampoo tip a go.. I've got a number of almost empty bottles lying around, so it wasn't going to cost anything to try it. I've been amazed at the results.. I'm not sure how it will go long term, but for now.. I've been converted. |

| Shower Power is safe to go down the drain. We have a biocycle and it was recommended to me. Our bacteria count went up when we changed to this product in our treatment system. It also is the best cleaner I have ever used!!! Shower Power Rocks!!! |

Hey I have been using shampoo for years,I find the cheap shampoo works even better for those stuborn bits.Instead of doing the process twice, with the cheap shampoo,ie:$1:99 a litre bottle does the job in one fowl swoop its great.I would and do recomend it to everyone,I even told my Mum to try it and since that day,she swears by it.You know it is even fantastic on the outside windows,a bit messy for the inside unless you lay down some towels at the bottom.Great Idea.onya sonya..

| I was getting to the stage where I was going to replace my shower screen completely but a friend recommnded using shampoo. Sounds completely crazy, but I tried it. Just squirt the shampoo (any shampoo will do) on a sponge, scrub the screens, wipe it off and it was amazing....they've never looked so great since the day they were installed. |

| I must have tried 12 products this weekend on my cloudy shower doors. When the product was wet the doors looked wonderful, but as they dried then it went to the cloudy white film. Got really desperate and tried someone's idea of Old English Lemon oil-that did the trick-you can see through the glass!!! |

I second that (using Rain-X). This method would prevent water from sticking, and subsequently drying on the glass door, which would leave behind the lime deposit.
To get rid of the lime in the first place, and especially a thick one, use (get ready for this ...) a large sized NT Cutter razor blade, and scräpe the lime off the glass. Yes! A sharp steel blade! (?!?!^^ haha! Yahoo censoring was offended by the word scräpe because it looked like s-cräp-e. Talk about lame programming!)
No, the blade won't scratch the glass because glass is harder than steel. You can try it on another glass surface first. This is also the reason not to believe those street pedlars and informercials about how scratch proof that cheap Rolex looking watch is by demoing how the watch face glass won't scratch even with a razor on it. Believe me, unless it is saphire crystal, the watch will scratch upon abbrasion with something rocky.
For maintenence cleaning, use the other methods mentioned. |

glowingember01 Putting it simply.............the glas 'HAS HAS IT"
If you do not dry it every time it is been used, the water eats away at the glass. Mind you it takes about 12 years.!! |

| Get some "RAIN-X" available from auto stores. It's intended for car windscreens (and it works great for that!) but on shower screens it works just as well. |

Please read this if you (really) hate water spots, stained grout....
All you need is vinegar and baking soda, not powder, soda. You can go at it any way you like, way I found easiest for the grout is a little puddle of vinegar, a little pile of soda from the box, an old toothbrush, dip into each & very light touch while brushing(have chronic tendonitis that flares if I do a lot of repetitive motion scrubbing-not complaining, just saying you don't need "elbow grease"...mine has up and gone somewhere.)If you want to use yours go for it, expect it would go a bit quicker. As for the glass showers doors I have a little container for the vinegar, dip into it, dip into whatever you have the soda in, you will have sort of a paste on your cloth/sponge. Apply it liberally, if it has been like that a long time & now looks like frosted glass, just do it several times, you will see it is coming away. If you have time to wipe down the droplets after a shower, all the better, if not you can use the little formula whenever you have the time. This will also make your tile sparkle, especially if you wipe/dry it with a clean towel. I did not invent this, saw it somewhere on the net a couple years ago, & it is cheap folks & it works. G'day and good luck. You're going to love it! (I have no idea how I got to a financial message board in Australia from FL USA but glad I could help. Take care.) |
