enig the chinese currency is pegged ie fixed. Its compensated by the government. They want to keep their currency low. Problem is like real said is inflation. 2-3 is good i mean when its higher than 3 governments should increase its % rates.
Unless u are like the usa who leave out key products to make it look like there is only a relative small amount of inflation. One item they leave out is fuel, imagine fuel not being in a basket of goods lol

Hi Mate, there is double digit inflation in China because of the manipulated currency. There are hundreds of protests and riots everyday in spite of the oppressive regime. The impressive GDP gain was built upon the back of millions of slave labor!

Re:Traitors trashing Aussie & Kiwi dolla ... Reply to this message
what about China then ?
there's a nation with a weak currency yet powering along
on strongest ever production and 11 pc growth...

China's story contradicts when you say that a weak currency
nation will never be strong...

never say never..

Besides, this is a good time to do as you say,
do your own research and dont believe anything
other so-called "experts" and "analysts"say.

cause they got themselves ( and their audience)
into a real fine mess.
do your own research and dont believe anything else.

the fact is, a nation with a weak currancy, can never be strong
If a nation EXPORTS, on the weakness of its currancy, in other words, it can only sell offshore because of a weak currancy, then, the product is only selling because of its low price Say if all currancy was equal, what would sell best? obvious, the best made product. The Euro is strong, yet the Eu nations export because their goods are quality.
I was a small time exporter of sailing yachts, the only reason we couldsell was because at the time the KIWI was 38--45 US, as soon as it started it climb, sales fell off, to bugger all,all we were doing was selling cheap labour,
The moral is, that if you can not compete(and a weak dollar is a subsidy) then either tech up, or get out
I travel, lots, 4 times to Eu in last 16 months, its darned hard when our dollar is 58--60% of a euro, I cant wait for the day when our buck = a euro

Hi Mate, you still don't get it. Trade is a two way street. Nations export what they produce and import what they need. A strong Aussie dollar will let Aussie industries upgrade all the equipment not produced here, improve productivity, lower costs and compete better around the world. This will lead to a wealthier Australia, can afford all the goodies from the rest of the world. Lowering the Aussie dollar will eventually lead to lower wealth and poorer Aussies all around! Don't you get it, mate?

it's a bit late for that - whitlam tried to fix that problem and uncle sam and malcolm fraser kicked him out - how much of australia is already owned and controlled overseas - most of it - a higher AUD only helps those countries that export to Australia.

Hi mate, at the end of the day, what matters is the purchasing power of the Aussie dollar. When the Aussie dollar tanks, all the gains from your 'exported oriented shares' will not compensate for the declining purchasing power. The country will be cheap for foreigners to take over. Only traitors will benefit, not Aussies!

actually, yes to all 3 - except there's no way on the last 2 and petrol can go to $10 for all i care - don't use it much - because if the AUD goes down, my export oriented shares will be worth more - and that's where the future lies

Hey Chump, you want the dollar to go down? Are you willing to pay $5 per liter of petrol, pay $5,000 for a High Def TV or $100,000 for a BMW? Are you dumb or dumber or what?

Hey chump, a nation can improve its exports by improving productivity, not trashing its own dollar! A strong Aussie dollar will lead to cheaper high tech imports! US needs a lot of foreign resources, the last thing it wants is a weak greenback which will buy less from the rest of the world!

Re:Traitors trashing Aussie & Kiwi dolla ... Reply to this message
why on earth do you want that to happen? it makes our exports more expensive and our imports cheaper. the reason why our dollars have gone up is because our central banks have done a deal with the US Fed to support the USD as much as they can and they do this by raising interest rates. we need our dollars to go down - those who push it up are the traitors

Traitors trashing Aussie & Kiwi dollars! Reply to this message
Why are those so called experts always trashing our dollars in favor of the greenback? The US is a debt laden nation. It is printing trillions of paper out of thin air in exchange for the valuable but limited resources of the world. Our dollars should therefore go up relative to the greenback!
