Re:Trading forex news Reply to this message
Hi Randy,

Trading news, at least within the first few minutes of its release is very tough because of the volatility and the fact that you have to anticipate what the news will be then know how the markets will react, that it tough to do on the fly. In my experience, to even have half a chance you would need a high end "professional" level of tools and market access, meaning several thousand a month in data feeds/ back ups/ and trade clearing. Other wise the pros that do have those tools will eat your lunch.

What you can do effectively if you dont want to go through all that expese is just give the market a few minutes to settle down and make its false moves and figure out what it is really going to do, then join in the trend for a nice move. You wont get all the move but you wont get chopped up either.

Best,
David

Trading forex news Reply to this message
Hi all,

I have a question about news trading. I understand news can move the market and it does but I find it hard to trade. Does anyone here trade news and how do you do it? It seems that price does not always move in the direction it should. I was just wondering if there is something I'm missing or maybe I don't understand what the news is saying.
