Why not ask the directors I hear they are all bankers?
Post on HC by poster Michinyon 9/10/08:
Lynas' Board appears to consist of 4 directors.
4 bankers.
No bulldozer dealers.
No geologists
No prospectors
No mining engineers
No entrepreneurs
No lawyer either, although the company secretary is
Not your usual WA Board at all.
Is this a good or a bad thing ? I don't know ! But it is certainly a bit unusual.
and the replies can be read on HC:

Can someone more familiar with LYC funding please answer:
Does the global credit mayhem mean that funding that LYC have previously announced as secured is in any jeopardy?
If the answer is no, then doesn't the current share price (36 cents) represent incredible value? |

| re:rare earth elements.reading your comments about lyc decided to look at what they are about.liked what I saw and bought 5000 at 54cents.I am keeping them for long term view as I am retired and my super has been decimated I don't think I could do any worse. There is an old saying only gamble what you can afford to lose.I have a portfolio of shares in various areas. Can't afford to get too rich as centerlink will cut my aged pension.Still better than losing it in the pokies.dave310742 |

| ive got a total of 10500 shares now in LYC i mayb increase it this week to 15000. Ive held since Febuary 2007. I placed a buy order before i went overseas 3 weeks ago and got 2500 at 85 cents and the price tanked to 67c that day,oh well if i was home i could have wathced the market better but im accumulating now and once they triple the current price which they will certainly do i wont be to concerned about a few hundred dollars. I have to keep reminding myself that this is the time to buy shares when the prices are down, as Rivkin used to say buy in gloom sell in boom, depeneding how low LYC go i maybe double my holdings but im still spreading my risk. I own OZL,FML,IAG,TLS,LYC,SDL,Q AN and i was at a meeting last week with Geoff Dixon and spoke to him about a few things including Virgin Blue.Im only 34 so i can afford to wait i dont draw my income from the market yet im more setting myself up for later years. There is alot of buying oportunities out there now to buy so many stocks particualry mining, whereas just a few weeks ago i was struggling to find something to buy. Im just not sure we have bottom yet.I do honestly think though that LYC has no concerns, the money is there all is going well and the management team is doing an excellent job.Once the Rare earth metal prices rise im confident the share price will triple from the current price.Junior ive read your posts now for more than 18 months and always find them interesting, thanks i just wish more people would leave their ego's at the door and discuss real issues here, after all i decided to invest in LYC thanks to this forum. My other name ive used before on this forum is Ausbongo.regards and lets hope LYC stays lower a few more weeks so i can buy more then go through the roof hehehe. |

G'day james,
well done. Stock is at bargain prices ~ company has $ in waiting, so no credit problem for this great co!
Market locked in for production, as it 'comes off the line'; raw materials stock-piled ~ although seems to me that the mgt have jumped the gun here! Spent $ too early. Can't process this stockpile until sometime next year.
Never mind.
Cheers :) |

Wow!
What happened?
Been away ~ and amazed at these discussions? NOT.
Back to ree's,
Any thoughts on the potential for mankind to get over this financial turmoil, and get on with their lives?
Hearing some talk around, one would think there's no tomorrow. No one to purchase goods, cars (what, are we gonna start - walking?), life gonna stop?
Well, maybe what market analysts thought everytime the financial world has had a decent correction / retreat.
Only to see markets progress far beyond what levels they were prior to the retreat!
Same goes now imo!
Yep, the worlds going to need a stack of this new way of lifestyle (battery operated) / driving (eco vehicles) / e.t.c. Bring on the ree companies.
Annual reports out. Arafura doesn't give too much away at present, but does have the cash to get through to mid next year.
Well, as some say, time will tell.
Cheers :) |

"How about the fact it is sitting right below a strong resistance level?"
I assume you mean the support level it penetrated at just under 90c. As this is now resistance it has to break back up through it. There is no "consolidation." It just broke through it's support and is now going back up to it so how is that bullish? It will be if it can penetrate this area but it hasn't yet. |
