Sure you can Pirate...how much?
Its srue wiped out a lot of people..and i really do feel for them. I think back to 2 years ago and I felt like cr@p droppng $12k on BHP..but you live and learn and i got a bit lucky i suppose. The market today is differnet to then - so its hard to see where to turn for those in strife. I'm not sorry to see hedge funds wiped out coz it was them diicking around shorting that mucked up my first go at BHP...and probably stopped me staying in longer the 2nd time around.
YOu heard the rest of my story before - LYC is mid to long term - 12 months - and thats alwasy been the go. Maybe the US may be beginning to come out of its recession by then...but a lot of the goop LC prodice will be sold to Nippon and China. Oil price is pushing a lot of manufactureres to look closer at hybrids and alternatices so ther ewill alwyas be a market for whats produced..just gotta be patient.

| GREGG, sold over 500k of stock including bhp, fairfax, bnb and some ozl...should have sold the lot but considered the market had bottommed but wrong.... still a way to go.... seriously hurt but still eating and sleeping and still have a sense of humour BUT the soup kitchen is getting closer. This carnage has wiped out so many. |

| just worried about how long you may have to wait(that's not a prediction), with recessions spreading around the globe and oil prices plummeting as a result, it could possibly turn into a long wait. i'll miss the bottom for sure, but in the mean time my account balance is remaining steady |

| If it works for you Chris fair enough...if you try to pick the bottom and miss - you end up waiting for it to come back again - or chasing it up to higher than where you may have got in originally. Its good to trade - but i prefer to have some long termers....my "trading" is the horses : ) |

| Pirate - Get out of BHP - they are $26 for a reason. BHP = Busted Hip Pocket nerve. Get into LYC now - don't worry about 10 or 15c either way at these levels...if you pass them up now by trying to pick the bottom - how will you feel when they go back? These got me out when i stuffed up on BHP first time around...and i'm not getting out of them now. There may never be a better opportunity. |
