Oil influence over ree use ~ very challenging at present values.
However, u ain't seen nothin yet!
United Arab Emirates have some 4-5 years oil - in reasonable quality; Mexico have some 9 years!
Mean to say ...
What more motivation do gvts NEED to get cracking with economical alternatives.
Believe that a team in israel are working on battery powered vehicles, with strategically placed 'charge stations' to enable a battery operated vehicle to charge and keep travelling.
Only time now; something we're loosing.
Lyc & aru will certainly have the force / resource! :)
Markets will pick up on this ... soon?
No need for income stream / dividend imo, these 2 babes will just take off due to their resource.
Agree?

BHP will take a bit as only started, it will progress through quickly; I would expect.
Dont expect much from BHP, unless it is of such magnitude it does not become that material. Mithril will be the big hint.
Jervois is going well and rumour is that someone wants another drill rig. When it is going slow it is because they are not drilling soil. Much harder stuff. |

Any vibes around the traps on bhp's drilling at hammer hill?
Commenced & assume bhp will have gradual up-dates as proceeding?
Also, any vibes on jervois?
Has / nearly completed drilling, and last official report from a.s., noted the positive appearance of cores extracted.

Hey cat,
Very good question; several options to answer. Others may have other opinions.
1. Market players that started when aru was at 25-40c sold out anywhere up from 1.50; obviously v/happy.
2. Global market conditions had deteriorated.
3. Uncertainty of whether aru have product costed correctly.
Maybe many other factors.
However, we do know more now, more certainty, and not much market responce to-date!
Check arafura's web for details on projects; + reports on market, e.t.c.
Should prove to be 'valuable'.

Top of the morn jc,
Rates on profit in the China Rare Earth Co are more than pleasing!
O7 profit on ree only @ 22.3% on sales of ree alone.
O6 p @ 18.8%
O5 p @ 14.2%
Turnover increasing annually; profit increasing annually; market increasing annually; what more does one want?
Based on these rates, say $500m sales equates to $100m profit. Aru @ $110m pre today!
Comparison then to our aus co's, rate of return VERY encouraging, particularly as aru's preliminary findings are less cost to produce goods from raw mat than report last year that sent it undeservingly into a tail spin!
Not sure how lyc rates with rate of return on sales.
Blue sky from here on?
Just make sure the directors of aru do right thing with potential j/v's.

hi rej: forgive me im probably asking a silly quesiton but what do you mean in your last post.
also meant to say i bought some share last week in AXO - its developing a magnetite/vanadium project (i assume similar to jervois). Not a great market cap - $200m but on the move. operating costs are v. cheap for magnetite. ill have a look at where jervois is b/c the key will be infrastructure and transportation costs. jc |

| hi rej and gregg: aru was strong in europe - high of AUD90 - closed AUD80. Hopefully the company will come back from *** *** anese trip next month with a partner? (probably a bit hopeful). gregg - i agree lyc probably range bound in terms of trading but you still got to hang on to a core position just in case and use the trading to generate income. apparently a few aussie instos got into the last placement - now all we need is a few larger brokers to cover and shes off. seen my gbg? yippee. but seriously it shows how these things can drift off and then come back to life. same for lyc. have a good weekend all. jcho out. |

| G'day REJ - I think the story is slowly getting out there...but with no Aus production till next year - i think we could well be a bit range bound - perhaps until Xmas even. I have suggested to a couple of others they could maybe try to trade the ranges - (LYC seems to be around $1.25 to around $1.50...and you have more idea on ARU than i do). If ARU are increasing estimates of what they have, and the price of "the basket" keeps rising - combined with Chinese tarrifs = should be a nice little earner. By this time next year those Crays are gonna be huuuuge...roll on lunchtime !!! |

been a quite week, lyc dropping slightly, aru - drifting.
Bit of momentum happening behind the scenes ~ my guess.
Once the ree story becomes more 'public', who knows where we'll end.
Maybe the Lobsters still growing, ready for the feast - greg?
Aru i read is certainly active on the ground, and hoping for report end of mth.on the tech side of the procesing - stage 1 .
Have you heard any vibes on other / any fund managers starting to look in?
