RE: "It is time to look a correlations.
Stock markets go up on good news and gold goes up on bad news.
Dow down = Gold up. This seems to be the way the markets will run apart from a possible end of year rally for the Dow but that may or may not happen this year.
USD down = Gold up. The USD has had a run at the cost of the gold price. But looking at charts, these runs within it's downtrend are small and this one may have ended or close to it.
That is the good news. However there is also a nexus between the USD and the Dow. One up = the other down.
If the Dow topped on Thursday night then that could mean a stronger dollar and therefore a weaker gold price.
A weaker Dow, if it is a serious one (and therefore our market) could also mean weaker gold stock prices because of margin calls and panic.
As Malcolm Frazer said: Life was not meant to be easy."
Anyone have actual correlations and regression models between these, please? Ie coefficients, time spans, obs, R-squared, stats, please?? |

Don't bother with this Foolhardy moron, Anthony.
A typical stupid troll who can't act in a sane way unless he is made to. He does so on Hot Copper to sap the better member's ideas because he doesn't have a clue himself.
Anyone who creates dummies to side with them is not only a coward but a fool and Foolhardy has proven this time and time again.
His "Silver is going to $9.00 an ounce" says it all.
The time limit he put on it has expired and silver is over twice as much and here the idiot is saying I am wrong but the Dow has not had a chance to go above it's Thursday's high. |

re "Take a look at your super accounts!!
Just noticed mine has dropped like a rock for a couple of weeks, despite the Aussie market going up then!! Ouch"
That is a crash that hurts...and there seems no good reason for it to have started a couple of weeks ago either?? |

RE: "I still like MCO - they seem to have a lot of gold - recent processing is high yield, low cost and they have secured funding so they are not gong broke as predicted - in fact, quite the opposite"
Thanks greatly. I will definitely look at buying MCO, looks good and not too expensive. Any thoughts on its recent announcements welcomed too.
Thanks a $1M

| so jason are you saying that the markets will rebound from here? 2% down then 2% up then 2% down again. If you are saying that bruke is wrong, you MUST be arguing that this is not a bear market rally that has just ended and the bear market will resume, but something else entirely. Can you please enlighten us? |

From what I can make of this f#cking idiot Foolhardy, it seems he DOES think the markets are crashing but the clown simply wants to debate if I got the timing right.
How petty can this idiot get?
Well, you stupid fool, I DID get the timing right if the high on last Thursday's Dow will not be past.
It is as simple as that!
How can even an imbecile like you argue with something as plain as that? |

"so why do you tolerate the madman then? He never talks about the market yet you and your lile are quick to support his garbage. According to the madman, the market only ever moves one way - up - and his shares move the most"
Anthony,
I assume that post was for trentjones. If so, this is only a dummy created to side with Foolhardy.
Whether Foolhardy is a dummy of Crazyfool's is debatable. Certainly it seems so but it might me faked to make it look that way.
These clowns get up to all sorts of things. I suppose the best thing to do is treat them all as idiots and that way you can't go wrong. |

"bruke - Did you actually make a statement that the market would crash in September? Then towards the end of September you revised your prediction to September or October?"
No I didn't. I said before September arrived that September and October are the worst months historically for stock markets. Who can say to the very day when the crash will happen? If I could I would be a millionaire many times over. I'm just using logic coupled with TA, the poor fundamentals in the USA and what I know about conspiracy FACTS. |

If you are talking to Jason...
Jason shorted BHP at the double top - approx $39.70
Also shorted ANZ at the double top - approx 24.63
Trailing stops so profit no matter what. |

And what do you recommend for November 2009, specifically:
eg Buy Myer @0.59 because worth more than that, and can reduce the average cost of my shares? |

Direct institutional source, sorry can't provide details. Only the inside crew get the info. :)
It is quality info though, and almost always is opposite to what Bruce thinks.
Always do the opposite of Bruce if you like making money.
ie - Don't sell in September 09
ie - Do buy in March 09 |

"Sentiment indicators are telling us that the public has again turned bearish with 33.65% bullish and 42.31% bearish, but those numbers have been reversing almost weekly along with our other sentiment indicators. And the internal indicators (MACD, momentum, stochastic, etc.) are reversing to "bullish," but have not yet turned the corner."
