WHAT A BRILLIANT POST BY ELM FROM HOTCOPPER:

SO GOOD I HAD TO COPY IT:

In 5 points:

1. Perception
2. Confidence
3. Transparency
4. "Free Market" concept
5. The right combination of oversight and regulation

These all spring to mind with regards to Gold and indeed the overall market.

Everybody knows what is going on - but will anything be done about it - in order to restore confidence and resumption of market and indeed economic growth?

Perhaps CT you should watch "Stock Shock" (you'll be hearing more about that soon) and the subsequent investigation which may be undertaken by the SEC and then read the campaign by Zero Hedge calling for evidence of manipulation to present to the SEC.

Perhaps one should watch some of Bernanke's testimony?

Perhaps one should read about the Congressmen and women who traded banking stocks whilst deals for bailing out the banks "too big to fail"?

Perhaps one should read how GE managed to get some bailout funds even though not a bank?

Perhaps one should read more about the Gold/Silver Comex Pirates and their "honour among thieves"?

The list goes on...........

To not begin to think there is a theme ....... somewhere

You may yawn - I don't think it is - I think it is shocking and more!

Yes, this time of the year has not been good in the past.
The bottom line is the markets are having a rally in a bear market now which cold still last for some more months but when that finishes you can expect better things to come from precious metal prices. Gold started it's bull market in 2001 and still has some more left in it according to those who know more than me but it's not difficult to believe because of the way the US fundamentals are and what happens there will effect not only the USA but the rest of the world. Gold goes up on bad news.

Gold's done ok so far, but it hasn't really shone. Just kept pace with the XJO actually, up around 6% in the last 6 months.
Maybe it'll shine in the second half of 2009.

If Foolhardy is NOT a dummy of Crazyfool's, He chose to suck up to him and be his bum boy.

How is that for volunteering to be a loser?

Not a bad call on gold either.

From that date till now gold is up about $100, DESPITE recent weakness.

Never mind, Jasonfoolhardy should get his oil prediction right. Everyone, no matter how bad they are, flukes one right now and then.

Gold will shine in 2009 Reply to this message

Gold will shine in 2009.
In 2010 it will go it again.
In 2011 it will be as high as heaven.
In the first quarter of this year
Foolhardy will shed a tear
as his CNX will tank
leaving him no money in his bank.

========================= ========================

I'm right so far. From the date I wrote that, CNX was 37c. Now it is 24c.

Jason Hardon is Jasonfoolhardy who knows nothing about fundamentals or TA except to pinch a bit from Hot Copper members. Shame on you Jasonfoolhardy.

Re:Gold will shine in 2009 Reply to this message
Everyone will be soon be talking about gold, and telling you how much money they made in gold. That’s still ahead...when gold goes over $1,000...over $1,500...over $2,000. Everyone ought to own gold coins. People are buying coins in record quantities, but sheeple will never listen.
