The worst thing to do when an economy begins to stagnate because people are not spending is to tell the public to continue to not spend.
Money must be kept circulating so that everyone gets paid for their service, product and time.
This does not mean ,stop saving or stop paying off debt.
Its commonsense of which the fruitcake clan have zilch,to make sure the economy is kept well oiled. Its also ridiculous to tell people to sell properties etc at a time when their values are at their lowest. Its plain madness.
And yet thats what the fruitcake clan have been screaming from the finance boards. They are a bunch of fruitcakes, constantly raving on about the Chinese and how they are out to take everything off us.
The Chinese have got enough in their own backyard to worry about, and contrary to what these fruitcakes think they also have their own mines and have very lucrative deals in place with Russia, who is their neighbour. So what if they look for bargains in other parts of the world.
They also have mining interests in Africa that are also a lot more lucrative .So if Australia doesnt want to do business with the Chinese then maybe they should start doing more deals with countries like Germany and India.
I mean lets be honest.Australia doesnt have much else going for it apart from its natural resources, and tourism.
It is at a disadvantage from a manufacturing point of view because it doesnt have the population to put to work nor the population to buy the product.
And it has just proven over the last year that yes,it is indeed the lucky country, but it still has a way to go with regard to creating internal wealth not heavily based on the sale of its natural resources.
There has been some amazing scientifc research and discoveries performed in Australia,an indication that this country has a great future in scientific realms but more funds need to be allocated in this direction as well as research into alternative fuels. |

Are you suggesting thats its wrong for average punter to cut back spending and pay down their debt?
When you look at our debt levels and so many of what the press like to call average Australians relying on debt to live I think its the responsible thing to do to cut back their spending and therefore their debt levels.
The government has indicated its more than willing to take up the debt slack by borrowing our our behalf whether we want to borrow or not |

ECONOMIC RECOVERY IS IMMINENT!!!!!!!!!!!
There is nothing wrong with saving,as the fruitcake clan advise,
But there is a LOT wrong with telling people NOT TO SPEND in order to keep the economy afloat.
The clan has stated in a variety of forms that they advise the public not to spend at all and that is what this argument is about because they don't want to understand the consequences of a STAGNANT ECONOMY.

REGARDLESS of all the postings by the fruitcake clan below ,all wishing the worst for Australia,
and REGARDLESS of the constant banning of my IDS that you feel is so necessary in order to dominate this thread and to not be opposed in your evil endeavours and negative posts,
I will keep returning to challenge your ideology because you have shown time and time again that you do not care one iota about the Australian economy

Oh dear someone really is bored with their own life aren't they, it is obvious you have no life if you have to continue to make comments using IDs similar to others.
Do you not have your own valuable input to put on these forums. |

| Hi Ozwilltriumph, he used to put a good valuable arguement up with great info but then recently lost the plot & started to do crazy stuff causing his IDs to get banned, perhaps I am right & he lost everything on the market, then panic sold his house then lost his wife, wouldn't be the first. |

Oh for goodness sake HECKLER, (A.K.A. wealthforlife@rocketmail. com & numerous other FAKE ID`s)..
As you know only too well..
The worst has yet to come!
You see, though we may have at first escaped the worst effects of the financial storm which more severly ravaged many other countries the efforts made by our government to soften the blow of the economic disaster have layed the foundation for a long and drawn out painful economic crisis.
The "Golden Days" of prosperity for us here are well and truly over!
Increases in the number of people unemployed along with the already rising interest rates charged by banks for loans shall contribute to what I and others have been encouraging others to realise before it is too late for them to secure their financial futures...
AUSTRALIA - ECONOMIC DISASTER LOOMS
Only those who have the means to take action that shall result in their being able to secure their personal finances and so their future financial security shall avoid the worst of the recession. |

AUSTRALIA - ECONOMIC DISASTER LOOMS
Thank you for your kind words of support Richard.
Also. Just FYI - I received your email, (addressed to my other account) and shall be more than hapy to supply you with the details you requested prior to close of business tomorrow evening.
Your continued support and offers of further assistance are very much appreciated.
And firefly_au - Allow me to wish you luck (per your post concerning the purchase of stock). Would be very interested to know what you decided to purchase and why..
Let us all act cautiously this week.
Whereas stock values have mostly been contained within a narrow band for the last few weeks, my friends in the USA tell me that the market cannot "hang on" for a recovery any longer and that confidence is now faltering... Accordingly, further decline is expected to occur either this week or next.
Act now to secure your financial future. |

Load 'o bollocks, that.
No point relating this crisis to 1929-1934 great depression, mainly cos that was due to the post-ww1 reparations bank merry-go-round.
Todays markets however do rely on the US (Ask your MP how much we owe the Yanks (in Billions of dollars)) and you'll soon realise that when the US financial institutions fall 3-6 mths later so fall the rest.
Who gives a toss about housing when corporate w*nkers inflate the property markets and stuff it up for the rest of us. Greedy pigs. The worst thing Oz ever did was when Hawkey floated the dollar. The big tosser showed his tre colours by ditching his wife for a tart.
Recession? Bring it on you capitalist pigs! |
