thanks all!
i was only asking for a personal opinion. not professional advice of any sort as the buck stops with me in the end.
appreciate the replies!
I have paid off my credit card (putting it away for emergency)
and now concentrating on paying off my car loan. leaving me debt-free and certainly free of any credit cards. from now on, only pay in cash :-)
feel good now! :-) |

| Also with a credit card debt you get no credit free period (ie. 55 days like Comm bank). So all additional expenses put on the card till debt is paid will incur interest as well. Not sure if this is the same with all banks. |

| it depends on his tax situation - it might be advantageous to have some debt so he can claim deductions. you can't comment without having the full picture. |

| As a suggestion,,,, clear the credit card then use money that was used monthly to pay it down to increase the payments on your loan. This is not financial advice but a suggestion of what i would do personnally. regards. |

Hi! I have $2500 in cash left from my trip o/s. I would love some advice as to which would be the best decision to where i should place this cash.
I have 2 debts:
(1) Credit card $2400 owing & paying 9.89% monthly interest
(2) Loan of $15294 ( 9.2% monthly interest ) approx $122 interest month.
where would be the best debt to place this $2500 cash on?
Advice greatly appreciated thank you! |
