WE are all in the same situation, (with the exception of a few extremely rich and propserous people)..

We have dreamed long enough.

Now, reality may appear much like a nightmare.

Yet. There si still time to avoid the worst for ourselves and our families.

Remember - The government does not want you to wake up and see what is truly happening. They are afraid that our knowing that the crisis really is so great.

Truly, it is inevitable that as more and more people are forced to face up to the reality of the economic downturn... more and more people will start to act to protect their liveliehood... More and more people will begin to dispose of their personal assets .. and as a result assets such as houses/property shall lose value rapidly...

Do you really want to wait until such a situation occurs?

Do you want to be one of the people who fails to act because of fear?

Are you willing to risk your financial future and that of your family members?

C`mon.. Wake up!!

Take action now and be a winner.

The tide is turning.

In a short time, your husband will return from one of his delivery rounds and tell you of the housing projects he has seen neglected and unfinished.. Of the as yet unfinished shopping center which ahs not opened on the date advertised... Of the newly constructed homes in a quiet area of the city which remain empty and have yet to be sold..

And then a few days later he may return home with his last paycheck.

Maybe then you and your husband will wonder what happened to your dream.. When did everything go bad...?

Alternatively, stop posting such rubbish and be a winner!

Act now before it is too late!

Sell your assets before the value of what you purchased falls rapidly to such a point that you will have no choice but to sell them at a great loss.

New economic realities require a change of approach.

Sell. Sell. Sell... Save, SAve, Save!!

Protect your financial future by accepting reality and acting with your future best interests in mind.

Re:AUSTRALIA - An Economic Crisis Reply to this message
Government - Can they protect us from the storm?

Well..There is not much wrong with either the actions of government here in Oz nor their intention..

Sadly, there is a lot wrong with the economic situation.. and far more importantly the economic outlook.

Disaster Looms.. and sooner or later there will be no more funding available for BAILOUTS of any kind..

Gird up your loins and seek to take actions now that will see your through the comming storm.

The storm will be a bad one.. and unlike onse which have occurred in more recent times... it will be long lasting and far more painful for those who have not prepared for it properly.

Take action now!

Re:AUSTRALIA - An Economic Crisis Reply to this message
I like to read through these financial BLOGS but rarely add comment.. However, I feel it is time to add a word or two to this BLOG. So here is my comment.

As a businessman and private investor I have been reading the posts submitted by steve_b_wilson and also the various posts which have been submitted by those who seem to take joy in making fun of him.

STEVE_B_WILSON:

I salute you.

At times like these when so many are afraid to act, it takes courage and character to urge those with less of a positive outlook and corageous attitude to act.

Amongst us here in OZ are a small yet vocal bunch who seem to spend their free time trying to belittle and/or otherwise make fun of those of us who attemot to rise up and help our fellows.

nz4forest GO AWAY small minded person.. Judging by what you have posted here you are simply a boring example of the types of person be they female or male who selfishly pursue their own objectives however twisted at the expense of those with genuine heartfelt intention..

This is a GOOD BLOG surrounded by others, (such as some you have both initiated) which are not even worth a visit...

Could it be that you are both jealous of the readership of this BLOG.. Could it be that your envy of Steve is causing you to attack him...? Could it be that you are the types of bottom dwelling losers who have simply nothing to contribute to a BLOG like this except critisism and negativity?

Whatever your reason, I for one wish you would put a sock in it and go somewhere else... Your posts are not welcome here.

Steve_b_Wilson - I ENJOY reading your posts on this BLOG and thank you for the effort you are making to wake up our fellow citizens to the pending economic disaster and your efforts to urge them to act to secure their finacial wellbeing before it is too late!

More power to you. Listen not to the worms that come bearing insults of no worth... Keep up the good fight!!!

Re:AUSTRALIA - An Economic Crisis Reply to this message
I just popped down to the local cafe and read something in the daily which made me almost spill the Java I had just bought..

Given the relevance to this blog, I would like to share the guts of the story with you...(albeit in my own words):

"A 21 year old fitting and machining apprentice, who earns about $60,000 a year and his 20 year old GF, (who earns about $40,000) are reported to have been able to borrow money to purchase land in Sydney upon which to build their "dream home"..

The costs -

Tha land - Apoprox. $300,000 for about a 600sqm block of land & a further approx. $250,000 for the home itself.

A TOTAL loan amount of approx. $550, 000 which equates to approximately 5 times their combined annual pre-tax income..."

One has to wonder:

a) which financial institution in this economic climate was willing to offer this couple such a loan?

COMMENT.. I for one hope not to have shares in that institution!!

b) which government department is responsible for monitoring &/or supevising the operations of that financial institution?

COMMENT.. someone somewhere dropped the ball!!

c) if this risky type of financial loan approval activity is being pursued at such a time as this, what hope have we?

COMMENT: Heaven help us all in Oz!!

People are loosing their jobs, countries upon who`s demand for our natural resources we depended so completely are no longer buying, immigration is at an all time high and the number of people who are unemployed is rapidly growing ..

An economic downturn has already been initiated with no end in sight and economic disaster is looming for Oz as it is for almost every other country in the world right now.. and yet despite all the news and free access to related information....

people still (judging by what we read each and every day i.e. this story) have their heads firmly stuck in the sand while the worlds economies including our own crumble...

.........Now I need something stronger than coffee!

AUSTRALIA - An Economic Crisis Reply to this message
Housing prices will fall rapidly and job losses become more likely ....

SAVE, SAVE, SAVE - Not the time to SPEND!! Don`t let the same people who failed to predict the coming of this economic disaster convince you that they now can predict its bottom and/or end!

.

If you think that the uplifting economic data of the last few days is an indicator that the bad days are over..Think again! Look around.. Open your eyes and your ears to the realities of the situation we all find ourseves in.. from darkest Africa to foggy London town..

One World, one world economy.

The sad reality is that the world economy is stil very much in decline.. and Australia is a part of that decline.

Of course there are "hickups" .. Economic downs and Ups! And.. Ups and downs.. Just as there are in any economic data which is reported. But the fact is that the customers upon whom Australia dependeded are no longer buying. They have either closed up shop or have put all future orders on hold pending future economic developments.

Government initiatives so far world wide have done nothing but dampen the effect of the collapse of world markets and the immediate resulting effect upon individual countries economies. These initiatives are nothing but attempts to make things seem less terrible .. And as such they are effective.. But the effect of such actions shall be temporary. In the end, it all comes down to demand. And the demand is simply NOT THERE anymore.

This is the eye of the storm.. Nothing more. Expect things to get worse soon.

The end is not yet in sight!
