Regarding DSA, Aged,Veterans Pension and Carer's Pension.
The government sure pulled a swiftly on all of you. The made it look good. Now you get your money paid every fortnight. No quarterly payments, no bonus payments and the only ones I can see are still benefiting ( and rightly justified) are carer's can people receiving Carer's Allowance. My girlfriend received $1,000 bonus on the 30th June for being a carer and will continue to get $600 bonuses throught the financial year ,,not sure exactly when.
This current government left out sole parent, all unemployed who are all struggling and still have the same bills to pay as an other pensioner who can still earn money just like anyone unemployed.

The current government sure wanted to give pensioners a rise but when it comes to Kevin 2010 election he will gloating saying look what we've done made pensioners better off,,,what a joke,,,,blah blah blah

In my opinion pensioners would have been better off with a smaller rise and still receive money quarterly and bonuses throughout the year as they came in handy. You receive in hand every fortnight and you will spend just how he wants you too which he can say helped creat jobs,,,another ploy....what a joke,,,boy I hate the politics game as they use the voters as tools.

So all pensioners the government pulled the wool over your eyes

Federal Budget 2009 disability pensioner Reply to this message
hi im on a disability pension and was just reading a budget page and in part of it it says this about a lump sum payment

This builds upon the Government’s 2008 extension of Utilities Allowance to disability support pensioners, now valued at $518 a year. In 2008, the Government also extended lump sum payments to disability pensioners for the first time as part of the Economic Security Strategy package.

the only lump sum payment i have ever got was the $1400 last december so does this mean we might get it again ??? i dont understand it thanks
