Yes Mr. Costello I am not impressed the way we disability pensioners always miss out. I know that the aged people have helped this country but we have also because some people on disability pensions also have worked before we got on this pension. We also have bills to pay the same as the aged do. I can't afford to socialise, I do not drink or smoke and never play the pokies or gamble, I try to eat healthy food and visiting a dentist or doctor is unheard of. Living in a rural area does make it hard as traveling these days is not cheap with the high cost of petrol. I would dearly have loved some extra money however small to help with day to day living expenses. I will remember during this next election how you forgot us all.

As a fair-minded age pensioner I agree with your contention that I am no more needy than most disability pensioners, and that disability pensioners should not suffer exclusion from any benefits that may be bestowed by the government on myself from time to time. Having said that, and after having given the matter of my 97 cent weekly bonus a great deal of thought, I can report that I will still not be able to smoke, drink, eat healthily, afford adequate medical/dental/optical care, or take the occasional holiday away from home. Thanks Messrs. Howard and Costello!

Totally agree, the Disability Pensioner always gets the raw deal, we have the same debts as the aged, and most times are much more in need of the help that is not given.

I WAS WONDERING WHY THE PESNIONERS GET NOTHING BUT A PITTANCE. OK THE OLD AGE PENSIONERS ARE ENTITLED TO IT BUT WHAT ABOUT THE DISABLED. DONT U THINK MR. COSTELLO THAT WE DESERVE IT AS WELL. WE ALL HAVE RESPONSIBILITIES AS WELL MEDICATION RENT POWER BUS FARES TO HOSPITALS AND I THINK U ARE FORGETTING US. WE TOO HAVE HELPED POPULATE THE COUNTRY AND WHEN WE HAD CHILDREN WE NEVER GOT A 4000 BABY BONUS WE GOT NOTHING A LOUSY $2 A MONTH CHILD ENDOWMENT. GIVE US A GO MR. COTELLO NOT A PITTANCE U SEEM TO BE GIVING US WE TOO HAVE RESPONSIBILITIES
