MY GOD!!!!!!
Someone else that remebers La Sect Rouge.
One of the best and most under valued live bands around the traps. Put 'em in with The Wet Taxis, The Stems, The Eastern Dark, The Ups & Downs and The Screaming Tribesmen and youve got some ALMIGHTY yet very vague (but not too vague) memories.
Let us not forget the very top of the heap in The Hitmen & Radio Birdman.
........out comes the vinyl! |

Woah dude. Don't want to be a hard a$$ but support these bands and artists by spelling their names right too
burnard fanning - Bernard Fanning
missy higins - Missy Higgins
sarah macload - Sarah Mcleod
regergitator - Regurgitator
And F*#() supporting Australian bands. All the bands/artists you listed are nearly exactly the same genre. The only way to be succesful in Australian music is to have a quirky indie image. All the bands that make it overseas by pass this stupid obsession by the Aussie record companies like AC/DC, Wolfmother, Jet, Silverchair etc and get accepted for their music. Not just because their Australian. I understand that the Australian market is very small in comparison to other markets, but force feeding the same $hit onto us constantly by only putting $$$ behind the same style of bands is frustrating. I guess it could be worse though. Look what the Aussie Idol like shows have done to the labels in recent years. They had hardly any money to spend before, now they spend alot of it on guaranteed one hit wonders rather then nurturing artists and giving them sucessful careers within Australia. |

the comertial markets are set mainly on funds, revenue
or marketing accomplishments
the offspring would do better as pop punk market
than the suttle payed little known.
most joints wont to get paid.
metalica
greenday, panic at the disco, fall out boy,
to the doors
its the commertial that pays for the party.
typically
most bands stated are rejected upon application
because there un-marketable
no body sells sh@t to anybody who,s got nothing
and everybody no's it.
the lables,.....and theres a lot of them dont do as well
with out keen market"sell out"cents.
but the un-heard is allways the un-known
the un-seen is simply speculation. |

No pop garbage like all of that low brow American/English sexually challenged male posturing dross or pre pubescent semi clothed warbling trollop's that seem to infect/infest every music show these day's, not that I watch commercial T.V any more,
Can't stand all the B/S about how 'There's too much good stuff out there to ignore',
Wanna bet on that Ch 10.
Not too mention the painfully annoying
"Big butted brainless blonde 'n' Baldy box head show"
Ch 7 inflict's on the public every morning. |

Well, a hard question.... but lets try;
Queen were great, Meatloaf were also good, but the Sunny Boys were probably the best national band,(just sad they did not stay together-1990's), so, lets not drivel on, and make a choice.........(just can not seem to go past The Verve).
I might have to get back to you on this, after some deep thinking,(which is hard for me..Doh!). |
