| Hey there. I've been wracking my brain for a cartoon, possibly a movie, that I saw when I was a kid. Back in the mid-late 80's, it was an animated show/movie where these programs run around in a computer fighting with each other (good programs vs bad programs) and eventually break out into the internet. They fly out of a kid's disk drive and start fighting in his room. I can't remember if they can transform or commandeer stuff and make it transform into battle vehicles. No, it's not Tron. | ok, i am looking for a title of a cartoon/ animated movie from i think the 80's, it had to do with a young panda prince, who had to climb a waterfall, i think to prove himself, well he fails and was forced to leave, then after growing emotionally and physically he goes back and attempts to climb the waterfall again and succeeds. i LOVED this cartoon and wanted to share it with my kids, anyone know the title by chance?? | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Wow! I have been wondering about this movie for ages as well. I saw it as a little kid myself, and it's been bugging me ever since that I could not find any reference to this animated movie. I also vividly remembered everybody being changed into puzzle pieces, and that there was a unicorn involved somehow. The only clue I had was that it was a contemporary of The Last Unicorn. | So, the other poster was on the right track (and in fact lead me to finding the right answer) it is a film called "Unico and the Island of Magic." It is a Jpanese cartoon that is a sequel to another Unico film. I too had been trying to find this film for about 15 years and just now found it. I'm so relieved. It is posted on YouTube so you can go watch it if you like. I did. The "wizard" doesn't appear until about 10 minutes into the film, but its definitely the movie you're talking about. |

| I've been searching for an animated movie I saw when I was a kid. So maybe like 1988 or 1989. It was an incredibly detailed movie with an intense struggle plot. There was a "Wizard" that was able to turn folks and loved ones into "puzzle pieces" that would then come together to form his lavish and extravagant castle. There was an amazing protagonist that knew the secret of destroying him. This "wizard" shot a beam out of his finger to transform people. I've been envisioning this film for over 15 years.
