| My earliest recollection of Bud, was on British TV. must have been about the 1950's. He appeared as a Doctor in "Emergency Ward 10" He must be one of the few actors, that has stayed likeable and popular, the whole of his career. | I remember when I was around 5, watching a young Bud play a doctor on a great Aussie movie called “Smiley Gets a Gun” and even back then he made an impression. Later on he did shows like Homicide, All the Rivers Run, Prisoner (I think !) , The Late Show & absolutely nailed it in “The Castle” ! It knocked me for six when I heard this afternoon as he was one of those iconic (& laconic ) sort of blokes you thought would be around forever. My deepest sympathies go out to his family, & anyone who appreciated a fine, old-school Aussie actor !! | Very sad to hear of the death of one of Australia's finest actors and gentlemen. Bud was an inspiration and played diverse parts over many years.
