One more, is Men Don't Leave. It was sad throughout, and I especially cried when Charlie Korsmo finally breaks down and cries, and tells his mom how he still sees his dad who died, and misses him so much
Many have mentioned Sophie's Choice. I can hardly think of the moment when she chooses. It tears your heart out, the worst part is knowing that it really happened to people, including the children. It is almost too much. There is so much tragedy in life, isn't there? Another one that comes to mind is Return to Paradise with Joaquin Phoenix, Vince Vaughn and Anne Heche. I love movies that really touch on life, on true emotions in the middle of truly horrendous situations, and finds the heart of love anyway. |

| Hey Isabel this is Cleida replying to your message. I know what you mean about Bambi, except mine was Dumbo the Flying Elephant. The problem is I was 21 and had taken my best friend's little sister and brother, about 7 and 8, and they were looking at me like I was nuts as I 'slung snot' while watching him say goodbye to his mom while the birds around him sang...sigh..I have to go wipe my nose again! |

| Actually I posted about The Dollmaker and my name is Cleida. It came up under Illhope4 because I posted it as a reply to her, just to get a way in. Another sad movie is If Only, a fictional British movie which allows the sadness to linger in the ending. |

| The 1984 movie The Dollmaker has the most lingering sadness to it, when her little daughter was killed by the train. Such shattering tragedy is true in many lives so the reality of the silent grief Jane Fonda portrayed that night still stays with me. In a much more slick movie, Untamed Hearts is sad. There are many more but I can't recall them right now. |

My Life as a House.
I also think that two of the greatest actors played the lead roles.
But that is not the topic , I know.
Philidelphia also had a big impact on me. (is that how you spell Philly?) |

| Went to see Angela's Ashes in the theatre with a friend. She started sobbing early in the movie, and cried the whole way through, it was a mirror reflection of her own life. Very sad. I love Frank McCourt's books. |
