| I would have to say "Saving Private Ryan" was the saddest movie I have ever seen. It makes me cry every time I watch it. The only other one that really made me cry was "Legends of the Fall" where he is sitting at his brothers grave on the top of the hill. |

| My fav sad movie is "Pass it forward". "Who will love my children" an oldie but a goodie. And "Steel Magnolias" I love movies that make you laugh and cry, a whole spectrum of emotions. |

I dont know about pure sad movies, but after I watch a epic movie like ´legends of the fall´ for example, I always feel a little dissapointed when the movie finishes as I get so into them.
Good/sad movies
-Last of the Mohicans (Michael day lewis)
-Life as a house (kevin cline)
- Heat (thats a damn good movie!)
- Dances with wolves (I always get a little upset when the ignorant soldiers shoot the poor wolf and how the film finishes)
- Shawshank Redemption (not so sad, but a damn good film!)
- Fried green tomates (Its kinda a womens film, but still)
- Titanic |

I'm with you Pink Gallah... Bridges of Madison County made me cry. And also (embarrassing to say...) Beaches. Just listening to the music from it "Did you ever know you were my hero" makes me cry too!!
(And I know this isn't the topic, but another song that makes me cry is Eric Claptons song about his little boy who died ie:"If I met you in heavan") |

>>the saddest movie i've ever seen would have to The Butterfly Effect and The Lakehouse which is moving but not really sad (a good drama)>>
The only sad thing in The Butterfly Effect is Ashton Kutcher's acting ability. |

I can't remember the title. Lead actor Billy Bob Thornton released from a mental hospital try to fit it with society, friendship with young boy, kills man to protect boy then is sent back to mental hospital. People can't accept people for who they are, he was trying to be nice & fit in
----
That would be Sling Blade
----
saddest movies : To Kill A Mockingbird and Pay it forward |
