'The song from "TrainSpotting" with Ewan Mcgregor
Where the charachter is hitting heroin
Just a perfect day
you made me forget myself
I thought I was
someone else, someone good
Oh, it's such a perfect day
I'm glad I spent it with you
Oh, such a perfect day
You just keep me hanging on
You just keep me hanging on
Lou Reed- Perfect Day |

| Someone mentioned Braveheart: I met one of the bagpipers from Braveheart on a tour in Scotland. He's piping during the funeral scene and has also piped for the Queen. Did you know that after the scene they cut the Scottish bagpipes and dubbed Irish ones over the top because they thought they were more haunting? He was livid. I haven't looked at that scene the same since. |

| I agree. "dont want to miss a thing" from Armageddon, "there you'll be" from Pearl Harbor.(both of these make me sob in the movie) I also love all the music in Braveheart. But one of my favs and will always put a lump in my throat is "how do i live" from Con air, ( i even had this as my wedding song). Theres so much more but i just cant think at the moment I forgot one "unchained melody" from Ghost, and "wind beneath my wings" from Beaches |

The song from "TrainSpotting" with Ewan Mcgregor. The one by Iggy Pop was a classic it made the movie more memorable.
"My Sharona" from "Reality Bites" made the scene with Winona Ryder and Jeane Garofolo at the gas station unforgetable.
Simple Minds song "Don`t You Forget About Me" from "The Breakfast Club". |

What do you think is the best movie theme or song in a movie that you thought the energy and scene of the movie totally matched and made it memorable?
Two of my favorites are the scene from the Francis Ford Coppola movie, "The Black Stallion" where Alec is riding the the Black for the first time and he keeps falling off as he runs along the beach and the music reflects the change in their relationship as their trust for each other grows.
The next one is near the end of the first Tomb Raider movie where Lara Croft(Angelina Jolie) is being pulled out of the ice tunnel by the dogs with a techno song in the background which made the scene very cool and fun.
Also, at the very end right before the credits she poses with the guns and it goes right into "Where`s your head at?" by Basement Jaxx. I think that was a great mix of music to keep it light hearted and fun. Classic! |
