| I think you should all leave ratgirl alone. She's just expressing her opinion and there's nothing wrong with that. if you don't agree with her then fine but there's no need to try and make her feel bad or tell her her opinion is wrong. I mean, I don't agree with what she's saying but she still has a right to say it so stop jumping down her throat |

I don't understand why everyone has to give Harry Potter a hard time. It's really not that bad. The movies are really good and most of the actors chosen are fairly talented.
J.K Rowling is really good at controlling what happens with the adaptions. If she wasn't there then they probably would suck. And they put all the important scenes in it which is what matters. So all of you should lay off. If you don't like Harry Potter than don't watch it and leave it alone. |

| And I do not believe that all Christians are against Wicca or dislike it. I, for one, don't, and I know many people who feel the same. I don't understand the fact that people think the two religions are "enemies" or something. Wicca is what some people believe in; so is Christianity. |

| I'm sorry but I have to agree with the person who said it's just a film. It is just a movie! It doesn't teach children spells or charms or anything! We used to encourage kids and teach them about magic and now we're saying it's wrong? That is completely contradicting the first point we ever had. We might as well not allow our children to do other things they want because the parents are finding something wrong with everything. For heaven's sake, it's HARRY POTTER! I used to act it out and play it when I was younger, too! Nothing ever happened to me. You can keep saying the children are turning into witches and wizards and that magic is wrong but if a child says a spell, nothing is going to happen! It's not REAL. And what is so wrong with children believing in magic? Let them imagine and dream! They're only kids once and they should enjoy it not be told by their parents that it's WRONG! By telling kids they can't believe in magic and enjoy what they like, you're basically telling them to stop believing in their dreams! I'm just saying this is my opinion and I think children to have rights, too. Adults can watch witchcraft and magic, why can't the kids? [as long as it's not too violent or anything] I just don't understand the point of depriving the children of their beliefs and what they want. And you DON'T have children, so how could you understand? I don't have children either, but place of work takes care of children. |

| Anyone that reads harry potter knows the book is fiction not real . Its just a story . Its not saying kids go practice this spell to turn ur mum into a bat or something . It is made up !Pretend . Like those old fairy tales . So snow white or rupenzel is no good because of the witch what about hansel and gretel , they almost get eaten by a witch. |

| rat girl is right. i agree. yeah its a book and a movie but its telling children around the world that witchcraft is okay. its not. you don't know what you're messing with. The doors you open are numerous and the ties you create are solid. witchcraft isn't something you want to mess with yet this movie portrays that you should. it is real and there are things behind veils. secrets and oaths you don't know. jsa |

| Actually, it was originally made for adults if you want to chew on that for a while, but IT IS FANTASY, saying you are against that means that you despise things such as barney and superman. That's ridiculous and that's just being a perfunctory Christian that doesn't know what they're talking about. Oh yeah, and if you read this, then know that you just got burned by a 15 year old. |

| You are ignorant and haven't read any of the books if you really believe that the first three movies follow the books to the letter. To name a couple differences that could possibly make a big difference/have made a big difference int the books- Harry saw quirrel die in the movie and won't see the thestrals until the 5th film; and in the 3rd film, harry heard his mother's screams instead of James which may not be a big deal but it is a possibility. |

hey Ratgirl
I have a friend (well many actually) who believe in the real Wika...lets go on a journey....God sound like my english teacher...noooooooo LOL
Wika is the oldest form of religion recorded. if you are part of the wika religion or interested in it, then you would find that wika is actually loving nature, the earht and every one/thing in it.
The idea that it actually has anything to do with witchcraft was caused by the christain church who saw their ceromonies taking part and tried to fear munger peopel to leave that religion and join the christains by 'witches, devil worshipers, etc'.
also do young children really believe tha Barney is real? that power puff girls are going to come from Townsville to Sydney to stop evil people?
how about Batman, robin and batgirl? are they real?
children should be allowed to have a childhood and broaden thier imaginations early or when they reach year 10-12 and have to write essays on novels, poems etc they will have difficulties.
thanks |

| omg. Take the carrot out of your ass, what kind of pathetic, narrow minded unit are you? Its a kids book and as for "witchcraft" read the book you idiot. This is the most childish and (mostly) good natured witchcraft you could think of. Why do you think every kid whos been read the books wildest dream would be to go to hogwarts. Shame on you :( |

| Naturaly as the goblet of fire book is twice as large as any of the previous books. They had to cram too much into 3hrs. You need only look at the lord of the rings. They cut alot more out of lotr. |

| I'm a minister of the gospel and I certify Harry potter as wholesome as Narnia. It's actually about tolerance, which I am ashamed to say oo many religious people have none of! Look what I did with it at: http://www.shadows.com/comment/5499e949-1392-43a6- 9c1d-ce68c410d41d/ |

it was in reference to a comment made by ratgirl about a pastor on a plane and how there was a "possessed" woman on there.
As for Harry Potter I am a big fan! I think it is a great tale about friendship, good prevailing over evil and above all growing up. A+ for Harry I say! |
