Good Morning Vietnam - Robin Williams

Cronauer (Robin Williams): We've got a special man in the audience today right now...it's Mr. Leo. He's a fashion consultant for the Army.

Funny voice: Why thank you, Adrian. I'm just very happy to be here. I want to tell you something. You know, this whole camoflage thing for me doesn't work very well.

Cronauer: Why is that?

Funny voice: Well, because you go into the jungle, I can't SEE you! You know, its like wearing stripes and plaid! For me, I want to do something different. You know, if you go in the jungle, make a statement! If you're going to fight, CLASH!

Monty Python and the Holy Grail

Second brother: And Saint Attila raised the hand grenade up on high, saying, 'O Lord, bless this thy hand grenade that with it thou mayest blow thine enemies to tiny bits, in thy mercy.' And the Lord did grin, and the people did feast upon the lambs and sloths and carp and anchovies and orangutans and breakfast cereals and fruit bats and large chu...

Maynard: Skip a bit, Brother.

Second brother: And the Lord spake, saying, 'First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin. Then, shalt thou count to three, no more, no less. Three shalt be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, nor either count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards thy foe, who, being naughty in my sight, shall snuff it.'

The Matrix - Morpheous (Lawrence Fishburne)

You take the blue pill - the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe.
You take the red pill - you stay in Wonderland and I show you how deep the rabbithole goes.

Pulp Fiction - Samuel L Jackson

[Ezekiel 25:17 among others]

The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the iniquities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he, who in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee.

My favorite film: 24 Hour Party People has some excellent quotes in it.

Tony Wilson after the into scene where he is hang gliding & crashes: "That actually happened. It's actually a metaphor, and you'll be seeing more of it in the film....I dont want to give to much away, but just think Icarus.....if you know what I mean, great....if you dont it doesnt matter, but you probably should read more."

And:

Tony Wilson to girlfriend: "You know, I think Shaun Ryder is the sage of our modern generation."

Girlfriend: "Well, that is really interesting, because everyone else thinks he's a f*cking idiot."

And finally:

His mate: "Tony, you dont see what you are. You see, I know what you are, but you just cant see it...."

Tony: "My curiosity has gotten the better of me, what am I?"

Mate: "Your a c**t."

Tony: "Well, actually, I knew that. That is something I did know."

Hmmm favourite quote/line in a movie
ROMPER STOMPER is the movie (staring Russell Crowe, its about Neo Nazi's living in suburban Melbourne Australia and the Vietnamese are moving in)

One of the skin-heads confronts the owner of a home they have broken into and says (in a drool english accent)
"We've come to wreck everything and ruin your life - God sent us"....

Please get this movie and watch it. For Australians it was very confronting similar to American History X. But unlike that movie there is no Happy Ending!!

Re:What is your favorite movie quote? Reply to this message
okay best quotes [in my view -they stuck in my memory :)]

comedy -i never forget waynes world [1 not 2] the scene is in the music store and they are goofing around .wayne [mike myers ]spies his dream guitar and says "it will be mine ....oh yes ..it will be mine "

coolest -well i laughed real hard even though the movie was a drama .rob roy ,tim roth is talking to his whench rather meanly regarding love in his bedroom chambers "love is but a dunghill betty and i am but a co@k who crows upon it"

and lastly is the scariest -a toughie [being an avid horror fan myself ]i'd lean towards IT and good old [tim curry] pennywise the clown [he scares the heck out of heaps of people so many must think hes scary -not me lol]
when he is concealed in the drain and gordie is floating his paper boat down the gutter during a small sun shower of rain ."they all float down here gordie .....they all float !"

wisest -cant come up with a quote from memory but two movies spring to mind .crash and hotel rwanda ,both leave lasting impressions on prejudice and how many view each other in our world ,both deal with high stakes racial issues in totally different ways [one is fact the other fiction but still both very powerful] sorry i dont have a quote but those movies were enough without one :)

What is your favorite movie quote? Reply to this message
Since we are always asking about which movies are our favorites, I think a more specific question would be what line/quote from a movie stands out in your mind as unforgettable. The categories are:

Funniest, Wisest, Coolest or Scariest Quotes.

I look forward to your responses!
Also, please include the name of the movie, actor and scenario if possible.
