Unfortunately Saw 2 is american!
Picnic at Hanging Rock gets my vote closely followed by Crocodile Dundee and The Interview.
Blue Murder is without doubt the greatest made for tv show i have ever seen. For those who haven't seen it check it out pronto! |

In no order
Gallipoli - Great period piece
Idiot Box - Very gritty
Looking for Alibrandi - Sarcastic view on modern Australian society
Emerald City - Sibling rivalry, Sydney vs Melbourne
Pizza the Movie - Suburban toilet humour. Very anarchic
The Year my Voice Broke - Good storyline about adolescent life in country towns in the 60s
Muriel's Wedding - The underdog wins |

If all else fails, Screensound (the national film archive) most definitely has a copy.
You could probably organise a screening through them. |

Should be able to get 'The Removalists' at any good video shop.
From memory it was a South Australian Film Corp production.
If you live in Sydney - there's a great second hand video/DVD shop on George St near Wynyard railway station.
Has heaps of Australian films for rent/sale. |

As a high school English and Drama teacher, my daughter is in need of a copy of the movie 'The Removalists' taken from a David Williamson play.
This is an excellent adaption of the play and our Pamela would dearly love to have her classes view the movie. Can anyone help with directions how to acqire a copy or does anyone have a spare copy I could purchase forher? Or maybe someone knows the studios from whence it came and I could enquire there. This is a great idea, thanks for reading. Regards, Aileen H. |

| for me it would have to be mad max, no budget but extra-ordinary direction ..... but bad boy bubby would take it for original script ..... as far as aussie camera men go my hat is off to both damien parer and neil davis, both combat cameramen with no real film credits but some of the most extra-ordinary footage shot with the story edited in the camera .....anyway that's my two cents worth ..... lol! |

My favorite Australian movie would have to be "Idiot Box"
Ben Mendelson and Jeremy Sims.
Very Australian and true to life, with no Brady Bunch ending.
"Got a poem for ya" |

Pat Lovell.
-----------
FWIW, even though she has a producer credit, she really didn't have a hell of a lot to do with Gallipoli.
Peter Weir made sure that film was made.
The lady is off with the pixies. |
