| Hey Chez! ... you know, I landed that movie for my kids on Ebay just before Xmas ... only paid $5 for it, $2 postage! ... be worth a try if you have children of your own, and want them to see it |

The Year of Living Dangerously
(directed by Peter Weir and starring Mel Gibson, Sigourney Weaver... but Linda Hunt steals the show!) |

many great Aussie films to choose from which have already been duly noted, but we would all be remiss if we didn't mentions the following three films...
The Coca Cola Kid (with gorgeous Greta Scacchi)
Sirens (with Sam Neill and Elle MacPherson)
Flirting (follow-up to the Year My Voice Broke) |

Some that I really enjoyed were,
The first Mad Max
Blue Murder (among the best crime dramas I have seen)
The Odd Angry Shot
There was a film called Wake In Fright made in the early 70s it may have been made in Canada, not sure. Something about a school teacher stranded in the Australian outback.
From memory a very unusual film. |
