I believe she was quoting the film. Perhaps you should lighten up a bit.

Re:Best Australian Movie Reply to this message
I think:

- The Castle
- Muriels Wedding
- Crackerjack
- Dirty Deeds
- The Tracker
- Gallopoli
- Picnic at Hanging Rock
- Lantana

...Maybe missed a few? So many good ones to choose from. Even though Kenny was huge I thought it was pretty over rated..

'no one ever mentioned that little unknown aussie movie called Aussie Rules'

Unfortunate bad release timing with 'Rabbit Proof Fence'
and 'The Tracker'

All having Aboriginal themes, I think 'Aussie Rules got buried

Great film

Re:Best Australian Movie Reply to this message
I tend to agree with most people here. If I don't it is probably because I haven't seen the movie.

Otherwise what I like are:

Picnic at Hanging Rock (1975)
Mad Max (1979)
Breaker Morant (1980)
Gallipoli (1981)
Heatwave (1982)

I add more when I think of them.

Haven't seen a lot of Aussie movies that I loved (most of them are okay, never found any to be really outstanding, though) but I did really enjoy Crackerjack. Very funny. :-)

Now listen here, you mullet. Why don't you just light your tam.pon, blow your box apart? Because it's the only bang you're ever gonna get, sweetheart!

Yep, Priscilla was definitely very funny ... I love the above quote by Bernadette.
